    Pros +

    • Great location and a very "Cotswold Hotel". Staff very helpful and friendly and a good selection of beer.
    • The location and this sleepy Cotswolds town are great especially when you are bored of always visiting Bibury, Lower and Upper Slaughter and Bourton on the Water. Tetbury was a new discovery and a new part of Cotswolds for us. The Hotel is situated right in the heart of the town and is easily accessbile with ample parking around. The hotel runs it's own restaurant which served some really good food and there is also a bar to hang about.
    • Good location. Nice property although not as nice as the pictures advertise. Tetbury is a lovely village. Shop owners and restaurants are lovely.

    Cons -

    • Being a regular vistor to Cotswolds we know that the value for money in peak season is rather low however even we couldn't work out how a payment of £470 for two nights is justified for the very very small family room. The carpets were dated, the room didn't even have an AC (we were given a small dyson fan). It got noisy when we opened the windows overlooking the main street. The stairs were creaky and the extra bed provided wasn't at all comfortable. The room was so small that with the extra bed there was hardly any space to wander in the room. The bathroom was overall okay but the shower drain constantly got clogged. Some of these basic things should be looked into. Overall it was like a room to sleep in to explore Cotswolds which is a shame at the price we booked the room for. We will not be returning to this hotel.
    • Bar and restaurant located in the bottom of the hotel are very noisy and don’t close until midnight. As we were traveling with our 10yo daughter, not being able to sleep until the party ended at midnight, I cannot recommend this hotel to families or anyone that likes to go to sleep at a respectable hour. It’s a shame bc the hotel has potential to be lovely.
    • It’s not that we didn’t like anything but the free parking lot was short walk maybe 3 blocks from hotel. No big deal beautiful location, town.

Great welcome, lovely venue in a charming town. Really good breakfast. Nicely appointed rooms and good size.

I liked the staff a lot! Food was ok but service wonderful. Very charming bed and breakfast!

Absolutely everything!!! The place had fantastic staff, good food and great prices. After 18 days in the UK their beds were the best, most comfortable! Quiet, great location, and very clean. The price for the room was the cheapest we paid on our entire trip and was absolutely the best place we stayed! I would highly recommend the Ormond at Tetbury.

Fabulous location, comfortable room. Good food.

A little overpriced and nowhere to store the towels in the bathroom.

    8SarahPosted on: 4-28-2025

Roma were very nice. Staff friendly and a great location.

Room was a little noisy. Could hear the neighbours but otherwise all fine.

    8AlanPosted on: 4-27-2025

What stood out for me and my wife was how friendly polite and helpful the staff were. The meal we had was delicious.

The bathroom could have been more modern, but it was clean.

    9SandraPosted on: 4-22-2025

The staff were super friendly and helpful and the beds were very comfy

The quality of furnishings were excellent but a few things looked a little tired in our room like the bath.

    10DavinaPosted on: 4-21-2025

The room was spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent and I can recommend the burger for dinner. The hotel is a convenient place to stay if you are visiting Highgrove and Tetbury has some very interesting independent shops.

    9BarriePosted on: 4-21-2025

The place was centre of town, the Ormond itself was really great, the rooms were very good for the price the staff were helpful and polite.Would go back to stay again.

    6SarahPosted on: 4-21-2025

    Nice large room

Shower mouldy, overpriced sausage sandwich and breakfast, service not very good. Really noisy at night, still making noise at midnight.

    10TimPosted on: 4-14-2025

The Ormond is a nice hotel located in the center of Tetbury. The staff is very friendly and the food in the restaurant is very good. The hotel does not have a lift and there is no parking at the hotel. There is free long term parking a 10 minute walk away.

Great enthusiastic staff, good position but no parking.

    Nothing -a great stay

Location, breakfast and rooms were great. Service wonderful.

    7MarkbickerstaffePosted on: 4-2-2025

    Room was comfortable and luxurious.

Access was convoluted but all part of the character of an old building. The shower was disappointingly weak and awkward over a bathtub.

    9SarahPosted on: 3-31-2025

Communication from the beginning was excellent, staff exceeded expectations for friendliness! Lovely bar area and atmosphere, great restaurant, lovely rooms!
