Pros +
- The hotel is situated in a lovely quiet town. Facilities are good, caffe shop, bar and restaurant, all good. Made very welcome by the members of staff, and answered all requests.
- Good location Parking Nice hotel and staff Nice breakfast
- The room was spacious and clean. The food was very nice. The location is excellent for exploring the region
Cons -
- Liked everything Only tiny complaint we were on the ground floor by the carpark so you really couldn’t relax on your bed with the curtains open as people starring in at you
- We were in room 1, which looked out onto the main road, which was unexpectedly quite busy. There was a manhole outside that rattle every time a car drove over it. But most annoying was the buses that parked up early in the morning, leaving their engines running, we were woken up early every day. Of course, this is not the hotels fault, just an observation.
- Very limited parking…reception staff advised could park on road nearest to kerbside by hotel at no charge. If car park is full and no space on road, this would be a deciding factor whether to return, as this cannot be guaranteed.

Charming hotel with character. Welcoming and comfortable bar area and restaurant for meals. An added bonus with coffee shop. Staff very helpful. Great location to explore Chipping Campden on foot or surrounding area by car. Buses routes to Cheltenham.

Beautiful hotel & pub and setting
Floors rather creaky but to be expected in old building
Comfortable bed, quaint location
Cold, service fell short of expectations, improvements to bathroom, hot tap didn’t work ☹️
Good location friendly staff clean and tidy.
External appearance was shabby. Needs decoration maintenance externally. Room 28 adjacent to a store which was accessed by staff at 10.00pm which was disturbing. Diner menu was limited so we ate else where for the second night. Bins blocked access to the disabled parking along wit vehicles not displaying a disabled badge.
Lovely atmosphere. Good location in a really nice village. Good breakfast
Room was a little noisy as it was above the bar. Also not very exciting decor in the room. Needed a splash of colour as it was too neutral (more like no effort than intended!).
Comfortable room with everything you need. Food in the restaurant was amazing and staff were really helpful. Great location.
Needs a little TLC
Reception staff. Room and bed.
Breakfast. Some coffee bar staff.
This is a lovely old inn, sympathetically updated to provide comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms (with good traditional style fittings), as well as a cosy bar, popular coffee shop and spacious restaurant. The food is delicious; the Indian chef offers some interesting Asian dishes along with pub classics and some fine dining options - good ingredients all beautifully cooked and presented. The desserts were wonderful! And breakfast was also well up to this standard. Importantly, all the staff were helpful and attentive too.
The first room we stayed in seemed to be above some sort of noisy fan or boiler but when we spoke to Reception they were very responsive. Thank you.
Beautiful cotswold town, great places to eat.
Tv in the room dated, smart tv needed.
Staff, building, room,
Breakfast was tiny, one egg is very stingey. Tasty however . And the kids room leading off of the main bedroom didn't have a door
The staff were friendly and the food was excellent.
One one very small thing room 23 needed a long mirror.
Location, comfortable bed
Breakfast not very good. Cold eggs, bacon tasted odd. Drinks expensive at the bar
Comfortable bed and bedroom, delicious breakfast and lovely atmosphere.
The bathroom needs an extractor fan.
Very nice dinner. Good breakfast. Bed was comfy
Pillows were too firm
Location and friendly staff. Good environment
Cooked breakfast could have had bit more flavour. more flavour sausages and mushrooms.
Lovely old building, bedrooms in need of refurb, great position and parking, very relaxed atmosphere
We were told by email,it was £15 for our boxer for one night,we were charged £20 and also made to sit in a cold bar area, alone, and a fair way from the breakfast produce,if you charge £15/20 pr night for a dog you should be properly catered for.
The location. All the staff were excellent, very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel was clean and lovely and warm. Met all of our needs.
