    Pros +

    • A warm cosy room right up in the rafters - lovely old beams and olde worldy character. I really felt at home. Some reviews have noted the steep stairs but the staff even offered to carry my bags up them (I was ok on my own but this will be reassuring for older or less able guests).
    • The hotel and Cirencester
    • Beautiful character property, super clean and staff were so friendly ❤️

    Cons -

    • Very wet - the car park was flooded - but not the hotels fault!
    • Loved everything
    • the weather not your fault

As I was staying alone. Feeling safe and comfortable is very important. The staff were very welcoming & helpful. The whole hotel was sparkling clean. Breakfast was a delight.

The bedroom was a little dark for me to revise in but it is February & it rained all day & night.

Beautiful hotel with a nice courtyard.Friendly people with love for their town.Bed was comfortable, room was clean and decent in size.

Room was a bit cold, maybe I did not know how to operate the heater.

Beautiful family run hotel in ideal location in Cirencester dog friendly with parking.Breakfast and evening meals were good.Room clean and well presented.

We’d probably request a room not on the second floor. Tricky with dog in a lead and steep stairs.

    Cute & comfortable -nice rooms

The food was just ok some staff better than others

    10HelenPosted on: 1-10-2026

The atmosphere. The helpfulness of all staff. Food was well presented. Breakfast amazing - good quality ingredients

The room a bit "worn" with wobbly mattress. I was recovering from TKR and not at my best so should perhaps have rented a bigger double rather than compact double.

Good location and fabulous staff. Car park also a bonus.

Friendly family run hotel in a fantastic location with parking.Ideal for walking into the town centre.

    Nothing really

    10LloydPosted on: 12-25-2025

Great location with a short walk to town centre. Lovely room and good size bathroom. Staff were absolutely delightful. Great breakfast.

The car park was flooded and inaccessible when we stayed. The alternate entrance was in a narrow now way street with no where to stop and even unload. Like most European hotels the rooms were so overheated. We r from a hot climate and even we struggled with the indoor heat. Admittedly the staff offered to turn down or off the heating which helped somewhat.

Fantastic staff. Lovely room. Great location.

Unfortunately when I made the booking I forgot to say that I have osteoarthritis and find the stairs a challenge, consequently, I hade to climb to the second floor (31 steps). The room itself was very nice, small double bed with walk in shower, which suits me better than a shower over bath [the folding door was quite stiff to open and close but I managed.]TV was very small and the reception wasn't great, but again I managed it was only a 2 night stay and I was out during the days .....Breakfast was ,as usual, a very nice experience, very good choice of dishes and very good service .....

as stated above, TV was small and not very good receptionand shower door was a challenge

It is a cute old building with quite a cosy bar. We enjoyed our nightcap whisky. The breakfast was just right, including table service and tasty food - good toast. The shower was good.

The room was a little small and a bit dated. There were not many power sockets, it had poor lighting, a small bed and creaky floors. It got very warm and I couldn't open the window. To be fair, it had everything we needed tea/coffee, TV, decent shower room and was very quiet.
