- More variety in the breakfast buffet. We specifically missed bread options
- There any problem was the Wi-Fi, which was a bit boring, especially in the room. It was a bit difficult to work.

The hotel is cozy with an upscale quality. Beautiful grounds loved the private park for guests. The food service and quality was wonderful at breakfast and dinner. Staff friendly. My husband and I did the 7 mile footpath walk around Bibury and this was the highlight of our stay. You truly had that "live in the countryside" feel. Also, don't leave with out visiting The Motor World, you will see classic Bentleys, Astin Martins and so many more...so worth it. We would highly recommend The Swan Hotel
There is road diversion going on that is terribly marked, we drove in circles and had to ask a local for help. The hotel did alert us diversion was on going but it made the drive to the hotel challenging.
Historic building, lovely town, excellent dinner and breakfast
A lot of black mold in bathroom
Great location
Tired looking. Pub was dirty
Property was beautiful with lots of charm.
Thin walls made it difficult to fall asleep as the party above us was talking well into the night
Beautiful location, rooms are large and comfortable, bar and restaurant were wonderful.
Bedroom size and location of hotel were excellent. Parking for car generally difficult but the hotel provided us with a reserved parking space near front door for my wife who has disabled parking blue badge
Bathroom floor slippery, lighting poor , toilet flushing inadequate.Restaurant food very average and staff poorly trained.
The hotel is in the beautiful village of Bibury in close proximity to Arlington Row. The hotel has the picturesque Cotswold's charm that we were looking for and the location was perfect. The hotel breakfast was delicious, and the staff were all very nice and extremely accommodating.
Very friendly staff. Excellent cream tea.
Beds not that comfortable. Noisy people in the courtyard after 10 pm
It looked nice from outside
Our room was horrible. Tired, old pillows, no place to rest a second carry on bag, no room on the little tables for our things, as they were covered with coffee and tea paraphernalia, no bar of hand soap at the sink, horrible decor, very cheap toilet seat and terrible food!
The location was excellent, and picturesque and having private access to the island was special. There was a heat wave, but fans were provided helping somewhat. Learning about the long history and age of the hotel was so interesting. With age comes a quaint and well-worn feeling of welcome. A lovely spot to stay, even though somewhat expensive.
No AC. The staff was busy in the restaurant but service was still inattentive. We had to ask for items needed and waited lengthy times. The food was not as tasty as expected for the prices and reviews.
This was such a beautiful and charming hotel. The room was beautifully decorated. There was a lovely dining room where we had an excellent dinner. And, best of all, the hotel has its own large private garden with lounge chairs right along the river that runs through town. This large, gated garden was truly enchanting. We had a great stay at the Swan!
Nothing!
Lovely place , very good breakfast and helpful staff, highlighting Steff.
I loved it
The Swan is perched at the edge of an idyllic Cotswold village. We had the Whooper cottage. It was beautifully decorated and had a lovely hot tub in its private courtyard. A huge, modern two-person shower and a giant bath tub made this cottage wonderful. There was also a pleasant sitting area, both inside the cottage and on a sunny patio.
With all the good intentions in the world, as well as a very good chef, nothing replaces good service staff and a proper restaurant manager. The seemingly "new" staff tried hard, I'll give them that. The server from Romania held things together as far as she could. Perhaps she should be the manager(?) In any case, service was quirky. Breakfast was a poor flow at the buffet and getting bread was a mystery. But, when the food arrived, it was delicious. Two other things were strange: the refrigerator was wrongly chosen for a cottage. All sorts of funny noises and heater noise went on all through the night. It was all interesting but I didn't sleep well.
Location was great, staff members were great, the breakfast was delicious (though not as diversified as I think).
Dinner was delayed and I sat in the dining hall waiting for an hour to get my food. The waitress was nice and reacted properly though.
Excellent location ! Awesome breakfast and drinks ! The private garden is heavenly !
Needs air conditioning in the summer .. a fan is not enough during the day
Every detail was perfect - location, decor, comfort, food and staff. Wish I could have stayed longer.
Lovely location in the Cotswolds. The hotel spaces are beautifully decorated. We had a large room overlooking the garden with a wonderful selection of coffees and teas. The staff was outstanding! Shoutout to Natalia at the front desk for the warm welcome and assisting us with all our needs. The food at the hotel was delicious!
