Pros +
- Breakfast was decent and staff very helpful ! Room was comfy and had everything we needed.
- Room was large, staff were friendly, everything worked
- Pretty building, tastefully decorated, friendly staff, good breakfast
Cons -
- A little on the pricey side, and a bit isolated
- Very hot in the bedroom and control didn’t appear to work. Opened the window but it’s on a busy road.
- No one was on reception when we arrived but after a few minutes a scruffy looking man turned up and checked us in. He kindly took us to our suite, but we found the room and the facilities disappointing, bar the bathroom. No views, only skylights, very old furnishings especially the sofa, no dressing table, only one small tumbler and 2 mugs provided. Would have appreciated wine glasses, water glasses, and bubble bath as it has a lovely bath....Dinner was poor value for money, and the ambiance and service was pretty poor too. The waiter couldn't tell me what was in the fish stew so had to ask the chef, and although I ordered it, it had only 3 very small pieces of fish in it, so was more like a soup, served with 2 slices of bread and some unidentifiable veg, not listed on the menu or by the waiter or chef. The waiter even questioned our order of a cocktail to start....!

The bathroom was fairly new, lovely toiletries, comfy bed, coffee machine, easy parking, warm and clean

Excellent service, super family friendly with games available for children in the lounge area which made us feel welcome with our toddler. Delicious breakfast. Lovely room with nice small touches. Highly recommend, we would love to come back.
Couldn't fault it.
Dinner and breakfast
Some of the furniture was a bit tired . Tea service only partly refreshed , staff mostly good
We had a great stay at Number Four! The rooms are comfortable, modern and clean. The staff are wonderful too.
Comfy room . Good location . Good breakfast . Nice staff
Nice, clean hotel
Sofa bed was very uncomfortable and the room was next to the main road! It was so loud I couldn’t sleep, you could hear every single car and truck flying past.
Family feel and local to a venue we were visiting - staff were lovely and accommodating
Highly recommend this place to stay. Such a superb location for exploring the Cotswolds, 2 minute drive from Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water. Staff were super welcoming, and helpful during our stay. Rooms were spacious, modern and well maintained and kept clean. A lovely fresh breakfast every morning, which is great value for money. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, and recommend to anyone who is thinking on visiting the Cotswolds.
Perfect location, beautiful cottage vibes
We found glass on the carpet which wasn’t great considering we have a one year old who was walking/crawling around. Staff were quick to hover the room. Breakfast in the morning, took ages for our food to come and was the same for all the other tables when I looked around. Nearly an hour to wait for a cooked breakfast.
Very Good sized room (family room). Very comfy beds and brilliant shower. Great drink selection in bar and brilliant cooked breakfast!
Lovely clean room, comfortable. Fantastic shower.
Nothing, really enjoyed it.
Friendly staff. Our room was lovely, as was the breakfast. Hotel is not quite in the centre of stow on the wold but only a short walk away.
Excellent staff.Good location (easy parking).Restaurant on site was great.
It was great. A nice location, close to major spots - broadway etc. A warm lounge with board games.
A smell like sewage on the 1st floor.
Pleasant exterior
Tired inside. Carpets in restaurant were dirty and marked extensively. Paid over £300 for one night and I felt the hotel did not meet my expectations of this price point.
Very friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere
All pillows were too soft for me, not a massive issue but would be nice to have some firm pillows too.
The evening dinner was especially good. Compliments paid to the chef.
The openness of the lounge area. People walking past from the entrance to the rest of the hotel. Felt more of a corridor but it is a good way of meeting people and seeing what's going on !!Not really walkable to the centre of Stow in the evening although would be OK during the day as part of a trek. That's why we stayed in for dinner which turned out to be really good.
