Pros +
- staff friendly and breakfast was good
- Locked compound for overnight van parking
- We stopped here on our way back from Scotland. Looking for place close to the road at good price since we were just going to spend the night. Location good and free parking. Rooms are older. I think the hair dryer might be from the 80s. For the price, perfectly fine to spend the night.
Cons -
- The bathroom light made a loud noise when switched on could have been the fan but it was very annoying. We stayed new years eve and got in late and were talking and the room next kept banging on our wall wanting us to be quiet. We reported this in the morning to the hotel staff and they very graciously apologised for the rudeness of the guest.
- evening meal very disappointing.
- Very old dated rooms, very rude person in reception assigned us a small standard room and we had paid for premium family room, claimed she nothing could be done and refused to refund, Avoid

Smell off the room was unreal could not believe it im out raged then the shower was so powerful it came off the wall and injured me bad hotel
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.
Bed a little hard for my linking (but I like a soft mattress). Bathroom a little tired.
Excellent customer service and at short notice had a room available for my friend who had to lodge at the hotel due to issues at another lodging nearby.
Staff are always friendly and helpful.
On the whole breakfast was good, but on the day it was a buffet there was a wait for items, especially fried eggs. Coffee needs to be hotter.
This was a nice hotel, decent parking with a good bar that served ale. Didn't notice the signs for the car when we arrived, as it was tucked around behind reception. Good sign would've lead us to have a drink.
I would've liked to have paid for breakfast but it was cheaper to walk around the corner for a decent breakfast £6.00 each as opposed to £13.00. Only two tea bags in the room, that was sad as we don't drink coffee.
Great twin room lots of space … a little old fashioned ( not shabby in any way!) which is nice in a increasingly polarised world … boutique this boutique that … corporate this corporate that !!
Nothing breakfast is great but £14 should be nearer £10
Good night sleep and breakfast starts at 7am.Very good car park will stay again.?
Stayed here before, its convenient for work, friendly and rooms are clean and spacious.
Car park caused us a bit of a problem but was sorted by the hotel without any trouble.
AVOID. WORST IN UK
HORRIBLECame with my spouse and 2 children. Only 1 crib avaliable and a micro bed, no sofa or extra space, as promised previously by message. Result: had to sleep in the floor. Manager promised a refund, and non came.
Fantastic super friendly and helpful staff, very clean and tidy, lovely location

Very friendly, helpful staff. Food was excellent and room was very clean and comfortable.
The gym needs upgrading.
Staff were excellent, they couldn't do enough and were friendly. Room was OK, comfy bed though the WiFi could be better.Evening meal and breakfast were great.
