Halfway House Inn

Very nice inn well located for not only the Cornwall show but for Cornwall in general as it is on one of the arterial roads. Comfortable room with plenty of space and with a veranda outside bedroom door. The food and service is second to none.

My only criticism would be the shower which is a little dated, the shower itself worked perfectly but the drainage was not adequate, a very small problem, but it did cause the bathroom to smell a little.

The food was excellent, especially in the restaurant at dinner, including high quality vegetarian options. Room was comfortable facing away from the highway, cutting noise to nearly nothing. We loved walking down the road behind the property in the evening to watch the sunset. The EVSE gave us a good charge for our EV overnight.

Great accommodation, which is ground floor and to the rear of the property.The food was superb, we had dinner there both nights we stayed and we were very impressed.The whole thing was pulled together by a really friendly and helpful team, we plan to return!

Tina made our stay so welcoming and we had a laugh every day with her. The food was amazing and had a hearty breakfast every morning. All the staff were friendly.

The communications with the inn were excellent both before and during our stay. Despite being let down by their gas supplier, the kitchen managed to provide excellent meals and electric heating was provided just in case we got cold. Management and staff were apologetic but it just emphasised how good the staff were.

Although located on a main road, the accommodation is at the back of the property and not disturbed by traffic. We had a lovely evening meal at the Halfway House and breakfasts were good.

The weather........ but TV in the room and kettle, etc., ensured that we remained comfortable.

Food excellent, staff very friendly and helpful.Evening meals excellent and lovely homemade bread.Location good for visiting wadebridge and Padstow and to enjoy the camel cycle route.Lots of places to visit we were spoilt and hope to go again.

Staff were amazing. Excellent value for price paid. Food was exceptional. Sticky toffee ouddimg and clotted cream, OMG best ever. Valentines night was a great atmosphere, lovely staff, full restaurant with laughter and great food. Poached eggs and breakfast exceptional.

First night the rest of hotel and restaurant was shut but we were only notified on the morning of our arrival.

Breakfast was lovely and staff couldn't of been more helpful.The beds were super comfy !The room was lovely and warm but you were able to turn the radiator off at night so that you weren't too hot in bed

We felt there could of been more plug sockets in the room but we did manage

Bed was too hard for my liking and pillows uncomfortable.Bright green exit lights in the bedroom and bathroom, which was annoying at night time. With outside lights on all night.

If you're looking for a B&B in a great location (between Padstow & Newquay) which does a great breakfast and the option of a fantastic evening meal with a good choice of drinks ... then look no further. We stayed between Christmas and New Year and had a great time. Rooms are comfortable and all you need from a B&B. Staff are very friendly too, and it's also dog friendly.

The curtains had obviously suffered from damp and had mouldy stains on the back. Room in need of a refresh. Very dusty lampshades.

We had breakfast there 3 mornings and dinner 2 nightsQuality of food was excellent and the service was too dinner and breakfast but Teena at breakfast was the best so lovely helpful ? always had smile nothing was too much for her
