Dampness. I could smell it immediately. Only a little heater to heat the room and the room was big. Getting into bed, the bed felt cold and damp. It was worse on the first night because I was just getting over a chesty cold, and it made this worse as I kept waking up coughing. There is a hole in the wall as you enter, which doesn't help. This could have been caused by a previous tenant. What did confuse me was that I rechecked the reviews after this, and I went through a lot of them to find only one person complaining about the dampness, which I found very strange as the smell itself was strong. Nowhere to hang clothes, so we utilised the bedknobs and bannister. (You thought i was going to say broomsticks

It was very warm, clean and cosy. Perfect location for what we needed. Plenty of free parking. We were given clear instructions for entering the property on arrival. It was very clean. Great shower and very comfortable bed. Would definitely go back.

The only minor thing was that we did not have alot of coffee and sugar

heating was only on for a couple of hrs,and none in the morning,so pretty cold in the morning

The location is great for visiting my dad in Shoreham, we have stopped a couple of times in different units. I prefer Unit 2

Could do with some kind of lights on the stairs in Unit 1, would make it easier then putting bedside light on when you need the loo in the middle of the night

It was comfortable and perfect for my needs. The shower was lovely and hot, and the room warmed up quickly. Clive was most accommodating and a pleasure to converse with through my stay.

It's small but very nice. It's easy to find.

I couldn't find anywhere to hang my coat or clothes which wasn't too good as it was a very wet day.

Perfect location for South Downs and the crematorium after a very long drive. We were two minutes drive away for an early morning service.

The rooms and bathroom both needed a good clean. Hole in the wall. Carpets very mucky.

Maybe a fridge to store more milk and other drinks.

Cosy and comfortable with nice bed and good shower.

In need of a bit of updating, in particular the the broken tile above the bathroom sink and the shabby sofa. Otherwise very good.

This was a great overflow location for our extra guests at our Ruby Celebration at Findon Manor Hotel. My guests said the rooms and beds were comfotable.

A little more information on the facilities regarding whether tea/coffee is provided would be helpful to future guests. I provided some for my guests as it was not clear.

Big bathroom, great shower, comfy bed. Good quiet location, need to main A roads. Plenty of parking on site or on adjacent roads as it's a village location.

Nowhere to hang clothes, wardrobe was hot drinks area.

Needs some new furniture, hole in wall, shower doors don't close properly.

We stayed in Room 2 , the view from the window was lovely as you looked out towards the village.The Room was exceptionally clean ,very spacious and the bed was Super comfortable. The owners where so accommodating and put the heating on before our arrival. We truly had a super nice stay at the Findon Rest and we highly recommend for anyone to stay there.There is a village Pub two minutes walk away called The Gun Inn, the inside is lovely and cosy and the food is super delicious.

There is nothing not to like , we enjoyed our stay.
