The staff were very friendly. Breakfast excellent. Good location. The room was a little dated but ok. Friendly local pub.

Really comfortable beds, excellent tea/coffee ect. amounts, Great location with easy parking, very friendly atmosphere.

Room was above the pub toilets so it was quite noisy and we could hear them being flushed together with the people using them. This did stop when the pub closed. We do take earplugs with us and they did stop the noise though.

Beds were very comfortable and had a lovely meal in the Stables restaurant at a reasonable price.

    Car park very busy

    9JanePosted on: 12-12-2025

Breakfast excellent value for money, central location, ideal for the wedding we were attending.

Slightly noisy later at night but didn't affect stay.

Location was great. Housekeeping came into the room every day and made beds and cleaned up. Great food choice in the restaurant. Lots of parking

Bathroom very dated. Just a net curtain to cover you whilst showering. Window leaked in bathroom. No wardrobe.Pub downstairs was very noisy even when quiet.

Good location, central to town centre, ground floor room which had everything we needed.

Was a little cold in room at times and hanging rail not very sturdy.

Loved it being so close to the town.Friendly staff.Good value

Carpet in room very dirty.Very noisy pubNo space in car park

    9TeddyPosted on: 10-5-2025

    Well appointed.Clean and comfortable.Friendly staff.Good breakfast.

Only issue was the shower head was furred up, so flow was hampered but this was minor and we only stayed the one night.

    4KarenPosted on: 9-29-2025

    Room was clean

Kept awake most of the night by a very loud noise, maybe a pump or water pipes. Would not stay again.

    8MarkPosted on: 9-21-2025

good value, For the price couldn't fault the place really if needed would stop again. Staff friendly and helpful slight mix up with price but was sorted straight away. No problems after that would recommend.

    Nothing really

The staff were very friendly and helpful

We thought the bedroom and dining room carpets should have been deep cleaned as they were very dirty. Also the metal steps were no good for my partner as he suffers badly with his chest.

    Breakfast was fine .

Definitely a hotel for workmen. There was a boot tray in the room. Dinner was lukewarm and my husband’s steak was tough. Service was unprofessional e.g the waitress spent most of her time talking to her friends at another table. Not quite what I expected from the reviews I had read in advance. Parking was fairly limited.

Great location for the family party we were attending. We had a drink in thd pub once we'd checked in. This had a really welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The staff were helpful and friendly, even moving their cars so we could park.. The rooms were clean, well equipped, and comfortable. We had breakfast which was well cooked and good value for money. Great stay, thank you.

There was some road noise which we could have avoided by closing the double glazed window. Overall, it was of little impact.
