    • Friendly staff and good parking
    • Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good location with parking. Good breakfast.
    • This was a great place to stay. The staff were lovely and helpful. The breakfast was good and the rooms were nice. We would definitely recommend and visit again.

    Cons -

    • Unfortunate that the hosts were generally not around in the evening so the bar was only functioning as a limited self service. The website suggested a restaurant but this was no longer functioning other than at breakfast.
    • The property is quirky but a bit dated and tired looking in places, as is probably the case with most properties of this age.
    • The quilt on our bed the material in it was all clumped up showing that it was an old quilt i woke at 11pm cold as felt really only a sheet over me Remembered seeing blankets in cupboard grapped them and put on top of meIn the morning took look at blankets the blue one had two holes in it just needs sewing upThe tv remote in our room did not work and the tv itself only allowed us really one channel as you couldnt move it up or down

Great host and team, was lovely to meet and chat - looking forward to a return trip and going fishing! Really good breakfast with quality produce and well cooked full English.

Room was a little colder than we would have liked, a little fan heater as back up would be great!

Very welcoming, go out of their way to accommodate. The owner even gave us some free drinks for my son's 18th. Me and my son had a wonderful stay over the weekend, we loved their boardgames and discovered we love to play chess together. You won't be bored if the weather is bad and you decide to stay in during the evenings. We enjoyed going on the hunt for fossils and walking along the coast. We plan to come back again with the whole family and look forward to it.

We didn't eat out as it would have gotten too expensive but there is a tesco close by, I would recommend maybe a small mini fridge in the room for this reason but 1 night didn't do any harm for my ham and coleslaw.

Excellent breakfast. Pleasant lounge. Keys provided on arrival for outer door, so accessible at all times.

No hot water in bathroom, but didn't complain until we were leaving. Proprietor not contactable during stay, phone number provided was unanswered (even when we had an emergency requiring an ambulance).

I have stayed here on a few occasions and have alway had a pleasant time. Well placed for town, cobb and the rest of the seafront Rooms are comfortable, even the single room I usually have, and doubles are a good size . Free parking is a real bonus in LR .Great breakfast always freshly cooked if you go for that option with plenty of choice . Staff are always friendly and attentive which makes this’s very good choice . I feel it’s great value stay

To be honest nothing springs to mind

The accommodation was very clean and cosy. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed a continental breakfast.

There was not anything we disliked.

Staff were very friendly. Great breakfast. Only stayed 1 night.

Room was very small but adequate. Moving around the room was difficult but not impossible. No shower in room but bath and in need of refurbishment. It was ok for 1 night. Couldn't stay longer.

It's a charming period hotel, bijou by modern standards, but very cozy. Eric, host & breakfast chef, was very kind and helpful with local suggestions. It's a reasonable walk into the village proper and down to The Cobb (harbour).Breakfast was the best we had on our trip.

    Lovely cottage, with friendly hosts

Stuck in a forgotten attic room

    8AlisonPosted on: 10-17-2025

This was a return visit, as we really enjoy the combination of comfortable accommodation and gorgeous location, and appreciate the friendly, family-run nature of Kersbrook. Comfortable bed, good breakfasts, welcoming communal lounge.

    Comfortable room and very clean.

TV the size of a computer monitor which made it difficult to watch anything. No table despite being called a ‘superior’ room.

    6PaulPosted on: 10-1-2025

Breakfast was excellent, the check in girl was very polite and helpful, on the whole, staff were all very polite and attentive, room was ok but has scope for a few improvements, location was at the top of a steep hill, so a certain level of fitness is required, slightly overpriced for what you get.

I didn't like the black marks in bathroom tile grout, the extractor fan was thick with dirt, the bath was to small for a man of my size 6' 16st, a shower would have been better, bed was way to soft, and there was no heating in the room despite radiators being on in other parts of the house and the stairs to the room were very steep and narrow, worst of all, the TV remote barely worked.

    7JanettePosted on: 9-28-2025

    The staff are fantastic

Very run down, well over priced we paid £540 for 3 nights, the TV is the size of a laptop with the remote unable to turn the channels over even after change of batteries, stained carpet and just needs a complete update

    8JeffreyPosted on: 9-22-2025

Well located , good parking and only a 10 min walk to prom or town

Decor was a little dated, and sadly no Nespresso machine but hardly a deal-breaker.
