Location of the hotel was very good and the staff were very friendly
The hotel was very tired and could have done with a lift. Also there was considerable building work being done which didn't help
The friendliest of the staff and location to the South West Coast path. Great that it had a boot room. The food was delicious.
Peaceful villa and staff were very and attentive. Maggie Receptionist was great
Such a beautiful location. The hotel and staff were just wonderful. We also had a treatment, which was lovely. The food was also excellent. The spa and swimming pool are a bit tired but other than that we loved it.
When checking by out we noticed another table’s meal had been accidentally added to our bill but it was rectified without any hassle.
Of course the location is amazing, but the rooms and the staff are also really lovely too. Brilliant breakfast with plenty of options and there’s loads of different food availability too which was also really tasty. The spa and swimming pool needs work but there are plans to work on that in 2026. The hotel also offers dog friendly rooms which was perfect. There isn’t loads to do outside of the hotel but if you’re into walking and exploring the local shops then it’s great, there’s a lovely secluded beach a short walk down from the hotel too.
Sunday singer is only on for an hour, would be much better if they stayed on throughout the night!
Beautiful hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly.Loved our room looking out to the beach.Food was excellent. We had a great time
Nothing at all that we disliked.I did ask for a bottle of bubbly in our room for our arrival but we didnt get that. Was no problem but it wouldve been nice ascwe were celebrating my husbands birthday
The location is beautiful and the spa - although basic - has wonderful treatment rooms & treatments. We loved the food & the dining options.
Our room wasn’t serviced at all during our two night stay despite us putting the door label up to invite it every time we left the room.
Location by the coast, lovely walk to the beachBeautiful room with sea viewFree breakfast was fantastic Very clean bathroomShower worked okGames room
The only problem was stepping up to and getting over the bath to access the shower
The location has wonderful views over the sea. Food was excellent and service exceptional. One small but outstanding touch - the in room tea and coffer service provided fresh milk in the fridge!
Nothing within the control of the hotel could be improved. The weather was variable as usual.
It was very calm. We had treatments in the spa, they were incredible!
Occasional slow service at our evening meal, we didn't mind too much as we're quite relaxed. A couple of things forgotten. Staff were overall attentive and helpful.
The location overlooking the sea was excellent along with the room that was comfy and spacious
My only criticism is that although breakfast was of excellent quality it was quite costly
Lovely location and the staff are amazing
Room was a bit dated the room wasn’t clean and the pool spa facilities are not great no sauna or steam room. This is not a 4 star hotel. We didn’t pay a huge amount so not a disappointment but could have been a lot better
The location, friendly staff, very dog-friendly, good food.Have been many times and always our go-to place for a last minute break
Have to book for the swimming pool so need to plan ahead
