Pros +
- Staff at reception and for breakfast/dinner/bar were very friendly. Internet was reliable and parking was plentiful. It's one of two options in the small town for a meal and I appreciate with limited options the dinner was delicious.
- Location friendly staff comfortable bed.
- Nice room, friendly staff, lovely food.
Cons -
- Appears that nothing has changed or been updated since we stayed here 5 years ago.
- Network Rail were working on the line immediately opposite our room in the middle of the night cutting down trees very noisily. Not sure if hotel knew about this or not but I would hope that if they did they would’ve moved us to a quieter room.
- Small challenging room

The food and staff was very good
Small challenging room
perfect location when travelling north to Glencoe and Inverness. Cosy bolt hole next to the station ..if you are a trainspotter, free parking
They accidentalkly double charged my card on arrival! not been able to check if I got a refund. The double room was the smallest ever as was the double bed. so small there was only room for one bedside light.
Excellent decor. Warm welcoming environment. Very well maintained.
large room . Hotel is near to the train station and stop for long distance buses Beautiful surroundings. Good breakfast. very well stocked tiny shop in the village
Due to a road closure traffic on the main road was diverted overnight past the hotel making it very very noisy. Feel that we should have been warned and offered a room at the back of the hotel. Also the plumbing was very noisy
Very good location, easy to find. Quiet and comfortable room. The staff was very polite and helpful, explained everything and were always there for any questions. The breakfast was very good, fresh, cooked to order.
The restaurant for dinner had limited options and portions were not very generous.
Comfortable room with 2 chairs! A rarity! Good choice at breakfast. For us the proximity to the station was ideal.
Breakfast coffee poor quality. Cafetiere would have been nice. Dinner ok but not a great choice.
Exceptionally helpful, friendly staff. Very good breakfast with a wide choice and excellent evening meal served in the hotel restaurant.
Small room with traffic noise.
Bad
Absolutely disgusted by the service and attitude if a certain member of staff. Think probably a manageress, had glasses short hair and black trousers/jeans, (foreign accent). Asked a simple question for some ketchup and got told "can't you see I'm busy"! Was up with family member's to scatter my mum's ashes between Crianlarich and Tyndrum, as my mum met my dad in the Crianlarich hotel when they both worked there in the 1970s. That particular ladies attitude through the whole day and evening was nothing short of discusting. Will never ever be back. And for£170 a night for us as a couple for that service !!!!! Can't say any more than that!!!O.s Room was filthy and banging noise every 5 minutes thru the night, I could go on!!
Room was very comfortable. It was a great location for spending the night after a day travelling through the Glencoe region. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff.

Convenient location for an overnight stay. Restaurant was lovely. Appeared in good condition and looked fine.
Booked two rooms . One room was very dusty . Had dust even on the tv remote . Having said that the bed and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The other room was so musty and the carpets smelt that a room change was requested and granted . Can fully understand that there may be staff shortages so not everything gets done. Appears to be the same people doing everything.
Great room, exceptional staff and great food. Location was ideal for our tour route. Have stayed there twice now and would do again if touring in the area.
Nothing to mention, all good
Lovely large dog friendly room. Nice and clean
It was close to the West Highland Way
1st we were caught in the awkward position of an argument between the receptionist and a guest over parking. While I was standing to finalize payment for the room this argument broke out and we stood there patiently waiting for our keys. 2nd we were in the room and while one of us were finishing showering the water wouldn't shut off and the drain was too slow so we were panicked that it would overflow and called the desk only to be told that the maintenance wouldn't be available until morning. Between 3 of us we finally got it shut off. 3rd the other 2 of us took a chance on starting the shower again but the hot water never came on and our showers were icy cold.We are hiking the West Highland Way and had just finished a 15 mile day, all we wanted was an easy check in, and a warm shower before bed, we got neither
The location was spot on as we were on a road trip and this was a convenient place to stay for one night. The staff were amazing - all of them very friendly and very accommodating. The bar area was really nice with a large area to sit and relax. The food in the restaurant for both evening meal and breakfast was excellent and I i have said already, the people who were serving us on both occasions were very friendly and attentive.
I think the room probably needed a bit of updating. The heating didn't seem to work very well and the thermostat was faulty. We could have mentioned these things at the time but we managed without these and the positives mentioned above certainly outweigh these minor negatives.
Spacious and very clean with good furnishings
Halloumi salad for £15 a rip off; lambs lettuce, half a sliced onion, minuscule cucumber pepper and a few tiny tomatoes and 2 slices of halloumi.
