White Swan Inn

It authentic English pub and Inn in a small village very easy to get to coastal towns and castles for day trips. Distinctive things- furnished with attention and impeccably maintained, claw tub bathtub (shower) came with rubber ducks, excellent lighting throughout. In a first for us the room was equipped with an Amazon Alexa. Host provided cake every afternoon and local sweet cordial upon arrival. Both were very good! Breakfast had lots of choices and possible full English for those who asked

The only down side was walking from the parking area to the front door - strong odor or septic system. Didn’t affect the stay at all.

The lodge/chalet was in a handy and beautiful location Peaceful hot tub view and surroundings. Quirky decor and very clean. Friendly and helpful staffPub food was excellent

Some areas of the stay were uncomfortable- the synthetic pillows on the bed and forced to recline lounge chairs, no sofa or arm chair. Lack of attention to detail - hot tub chemical checks, hot tub towels, plastic glasses for tub, drying hooks, handle into shower/bath, crockery for cooking.

Location, big bathroom, nice and warm, good food.

You can hear the bar below, quite loud at times. Could benefit from a new bed, hard on the edges and feels like you’re going to fall off.

Comfortable, well equipped room, excellent evening and tasty breakfast.

The fact that they only had smoked bacon at breakfast.

Bed a little to soft for us but is our preference.

Both breakfast and dinner were really good. The white Swan is known as a good restaurant in the area. It was the small things that we liked, for example, the cake provided in the bedroom, the range of coffee, tea, water hot chocolate and a little tot if you are that way inclined. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The food at the White Swan was exceptional excellent ingredients and beautifully prepared and presented.

Breakfast was excellent so much choice. Little extras you were given cake or bun in your room every day. Warm and friendly staff would definitely go back again

Nothing could have been errer

Every was great from the wonderful breakfast to the comfortable room clean linen white fluffy towels .We also chose to eat there in the evening and was equally as good .

Thoroughly enjoyed all the well cooked meals we had in the lovely restaurant. Very comfortable room pub situated very conveniently off the main road, making a lovely break for the long trip home.

A Luxurious Stay at the White SwanOur stay at the White Swan was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were given a warm and friendly welcome. The décor throughout the hotel exudes total luxury, and our room was beautifully designed with a big, comfortable bed and high-quality cotton bedding.The little touches made all the difference—complimentary drinks and homemade cake in the room, a coffee machine, a teapot, and even hot chocolate. The plush dressing gowns added to the indulgence, making our stay even more relaxing. It was also great to see how well they catered to allergies, ensuring a stress-free experience.Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic, with delicious food and a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Drinks were reasonably priced, and breakfast was just as impressive—a fresh fruit platter followed by a perfectly cooked full English.The location is ideal, just off the A1 and only a few minutes from Bamburgh, with the bonus of onsite parking. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making this a truly luxurious experience. I would absolutely love to stay here again—thank you for a wonderful visit!

The lodge had everything we needed. It's our 2nd stay and it was just as faultless as the 1st.. the food again was absolutely exceptional!.. the staff are so friendly and welcoming and the hot tub still looks brand new!.. we'll definitely be coming to stay again we love it!
