Station Hotel

Great place to stay if visiting Ellon and surrounding area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.

Clean and tidy

Needed to leave early and was told breakfast from 7:30 , no one around it seemed to be available for breakfast

Staff were brilliant, evening meal 1st class breakfast was really good aswell. Would definitely go out of my way to stop there. Price was really good to. Would recommend the hotel to friends, family and everybody else.

I had to leave, could have done with stopping but other commitments said I couldn't.

Lovely family run feel. The bed was lovely and comfortable. Bar downstairs was perfect for a drink before bed, and breakfast was served exactly as I asked for it.

Staff were friendly, happy to me a meal as the kitchen closed, good parking.Overall good stay.

Great local hotel in town. Staff were really friendly and couldnt do enough to ensure everything was right.Had a delicious meal in the bar area with a couple of drinks. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.Room was comfortable and spacious with an awesome shower.

The actual restaurant was a bit soulless. Bar area was great for meals though.

Tucked away on the edge of the town but a nice walk along the river to reach local cafes/pubs etcCheck-in was quick and easy, the lady (didn't get name sorry) was very niceGood lively bar in the early evening, clearly a lot of locals making it their regular!

I didn't make it down to breakfast (admittedly a later evening with work event) but felt 9am is quite an early breakfast finish on the weekend.

Close to where I needed to be and Ellon is a lovely town

I took my dog as I thought the hotel was dog friendly . There are no notifications up at check in. I made no secret of having the dog, the next day while I was eating my breakfast the owner came in and told me I should have taken the dog into the hotel as they have a staff member who is allergic. I offered to vacuum the room and change the sheets myself and this was rebuffed, I apologised and said I did not know as my profile on booking.com said dog and child friendly. The owner left and I thought was the end of it, but then she came back with my booking and made another scene! I can only say it was a scene because she was waving the booking paperwork in my face and raised her voice. Again in front of other guests I was horrified, my 3 year old daughter was with me and she was visibly shaken. Again other guests were in the breakfast area and were watching, I was embarrassed a second time. Staff had seen the dog the night before and said nothing. I felt high jacked and humiliated. I left my breakfast, and removed myself from further humiliation.

A good, somewhat old-fashioned hotel with friendly staff. A little difficult to find because it is tucked out of the way.

Didn't get the opportunity!

Unfortunately a few hours after my booking was confirmed, then the Hotel emailed me to cancel as they said they were full. Not impressed at all.

It was clean.

The smell. The location. Away from public transport.

Staff were incredibly friendly and polite. Very clean hotel, lovely food.
