Pros +
- Staff, location & service
- Room was well appointed and very clean. Beds were comfortable. We would happily stay again. Close to shops and eateries. Everyone was very friendly.
- Breakfast didn’t have because it was to expensive Room was satisfactory Didn’t have dinner there
Cons -
- The housekeeping was unacceptable as our room was only cleaned once in the five nights we were there.one excuse was they couldn’t find the room key, another was that it was to late in the day for the staff to do it.
- Very noisy room. Thought people from upstairs were in the room or going to come through the ceiling. Couple stains on bedding and silicone in shower a bit dirty. Extractor fan didn't work.
- It is an annexe of the Kirkwall Hotel. Access and corridors are very dated but clean. Did not enjoy the breakfast but there was lots of it.

The location was just right. The room was small, but clean and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were great.

Breakfast is at the Kirkwall hotel and was good. Location is really good, by the shops, restaurants and harbour.
Arrived late off the ferry. Very comfortable room with real coffee
Location, hospitality
Bed and pillow could have been better
Good location & great room. We liked the view & the fact that they were very welcoming to our dog.
It was expensive, but worth it. Wish we could have stayed more than one night!
Good breakfast. Clean and comfortable.
Clean and tidy . Near to shops and bus terminal
No hot water from sink shower not easy to control hot cold water. Step not marked coming from toilet to main bedroom I missed it and my friend fell
Lovely room good location pet friendly and friendly staffGood food in the Kirkwall Hotel next door
The property full filled our needs
Clean, reception staff helpful. Convenient
The window blind. Outside was a courtyard with bright security light which lit up the bedroom regularly at all hours of the night (room 11) A thick blackout blind is desperately needed!
Newly refurbished
Let down by nowhere to put anything in the bathroom, no hooks, no shelves, nowhere to put shower gel or shampoo in the shower, not a single surface of any kind in the bathroom!
Staff were excellent, breakfast was fantastic, room was very good. Great value for money.
Windows let in road noise and condensation, blinds didn't completely block out street light.
Bed really comfortable, easily adjustable heating, very clean, house keeping daily.Very central, opposite ferry terminal. Lots of restaurants near by.Breakfast and bar facilities at Kirkwall Hotel next door. Staff very pleasant, easy check-in.
The pillows where way too soft and it would of been nice to have some firm ones inside the bedroom to choose from. Everything else was ok- lovely EXCEPT the view from room 16. TO PAY £110.00 and not have a view of any kind. Is sad... next time id expect to pay no more than £50
The buffet breakfast was lovely but even though in chaffing dishes. My food was not very hot.Appart from that a lovely selection. Maybe add a soya yoghurt for those who are Vegan/ Lactos Intollerant etc...
Convenient, professional staff.
Alley to room 1 needs cleaning.
The single room was truly tiny but adequate; the facilities in the sister hotel, the Kirkwall, more than made up for that.
I wished there was a blackout shade on the window, as it looked out into a light well where utility lights shone all night.
much better than expected, especially looking at the hotel's entrance. Great location to walk the harbor and visit pubs/restaurants. Room was small, but quite nice.
Could use a better bed, traffic noise
