Rooms were lovely, had all the amenities you could want. A lovely garden by the River Test. Food in the restaurant was really good and local too.
Location. Parking on site. Friendly staff in restaurant. Excellent dinner. First class room with very comfortable bed. Because of very early departure couldn't have breakfast but staff offered and organized something for me to take away.Thank you.
Location was excellent Staff superb - worked very hard to make us have the best experience Rooms well appointedFood delicious
Staff extremely friendly.Food very good and tasty.Loved the clean cotton sheets on the bed and comfortable bed.Free car parking at the rear.
How a hotel should be run, excellent all round. In my absent minded way, I had forgotten I'd made dinner reservations, and bless them they had kept the table for 2hrs for us on a fully booked night! The food was first rate, and the place has a lovley relaxed atmosphere. I don't think I'll stay anywhere else in Stockbridge!
It was sutch a lovely place to stay while visiting family .Friendly staff,. Excellent food , and a good night sleep in a very comfortable bed. Old world charm at its best .Plenty of parking. And a lovely little town .I shall be staying here again, and I highly recommend it .
The food was really excellent, great breakfast. Nice room, full of character
Restaurant and car park very busy at lunch time, unable to find a parking space in hotel car park or even in village one day
A wonderfully comfortable stay. Bungy beds, down duvets and cascading showers. Delicious food, lovely people looking after you and easy parking. A great neck of the woods. What is there not to like?
Absolutely nothing.
Great location on the river. Really comfortable room. Friendly helpful staff, excellent menu and food
Pillows could be bigger and softer
Fabulous overnight stay, beautiful cosy room, amazing food and really genuine service
Room was so lovely and welcoming. Such a lovely old building manifesting with beams and 'wonky' door frames. Restaurant was spectacular in ambience and delighting taste buds. Good car parking facilities and pub jn heart of the town.
I was mildly concerned by some of the recent negative reviews I’d read. These concerns were dispelled immediately upon arriving. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room (room 4) was beautifully decorated and warm. We were at the front of the building and didn’t experience excessive road noise as some reviewers mentioned. There was a little noise, nothing excessive, from the bar below but this petered out gradually and we heard nothing after about 10.30pm, which I feel is totally acceptable when staying in a pub. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and again I was a little concerned at some of the negative food reviews which, in my opinion were unjust. Our evening meals were fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed, as were our breakfasts on the following two mornings. Breakfast consists of a continental selection and then a choice of several cooked options. All in all we had a lovely weekend, in a beautiful setting, staff were great, especially Rebecca who was very considerate and attentive, we were lucky to see some sunshine too, we couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you to everyone at The Greyhound on the Test, keep doing what you’re doing.
Very personal service, friendly. Food was first class.
Noise from adjoining rooms and road.
Loved it being located on the High Street. Fantastic building, fabulous interior, very cosy and spotlessly clean.
Absolutely nothing.
Lovely room, great food in restaurant. Pretty village with nice shops and easy walks.
No lounge area, the bar is all set for dining so no where to just enjoy a pint.
Coffee machine in room. Lovely bath. Plenty of hot water. Lovely breakfast and dinner. Great staff.
Very noisy. Room very small, difficult to turn radiator off as covered, had to scrabble under furniture to plug in kettle and hair dryer. Towels were very old and fraying at edges.
