    Cons -

    • The room was very small overlooked a marque cover in moss the bathroom shower was dirty the skirting boards were black and the radiator was rusty the floor needed a good bleach or scrub ver run down the e was clean but the bed throws yuk The room
    • The hotel is charming however the bedroom we stayed in had some very creaky floors which I would imagine could be quite to any guests staying in the room below. A little bit of investment would be well worthwhile
    • Bed too small and creaking. Small room for an executive double

This is a lovely hotel and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic!

The bathroom was a bit dingy and had an unpleasant smell.

Friendliness of staff. Cleanliness of hotel, very good food, fabulous curtains and chandeliers throughout. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

A lift would be a bonus as there are no rooms on ground floor and my partner struggles with stairs.

Easy parking, friendly welcome, comfy room and delicious breakfast.

The location was idilic, being a higher level than the 3 stars. The room was excellent, the light snacks and selection of bar drinks were excellent for our needs. Breakfast was hearty and of a great standard. Property and lounge areas were of the previous hotel and were a pleasant surprise. Very good

    Nothing really

    7MarisaPosted on: 4-24-2025

Breakfast was excellent, with a choice between a full English or a continental selection. Even the coffee was surprisingly good—a rare treat in most hotels! The staff were very helpful and friendly, always willing to accommodate.

The rooms are a little outdated but still quite comfortable.

Nice and quiet Lovely little hotel Only a small food menu but plenty of restaurants a ten minutes walk to the high street or you can order food in and ear in their dining room so there's options.

Very quiet in the breakfast room almost too quiet.Could do with some pleasant background music or something.COVID is no more!so it would be good to help yourself to the cereal and juice ect buffet style rather than order it via table service.Other than that everything was fine friendly staff.

The staff were helpful and polite. The breakfast was very good.

A lower more comfortable chair would have been appreciated.

Amazing 24 hour check in service which worked perfectly for us after getting back from a wedding late. Comfortable and warm bed. Great water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was fantastic and very generous.

The rooms are quite tired and could do with freshening up - that said they are fully functional and clean.

    7RachelPosted on: 4-2-2025

Such a cosy place and the most welcoming staff. They went above and beyond for me. Natalie was exceptional. Had a lovely couple of nights and felt really looked after- highly recommend!

The lights bites menu was a little disappointing especiallyas breakfast was so good!
