Pros +
- Staff were awsom food very good would go again and again
- Location ideal for our needs only problem was Parking only available on-street, double yellow lines except for a few outside and a couple in side street
- Located in the centre of the town of Carnforth - famous for the film 'Brief Encounter' - the hotel is in close vicinity of the railway station. The building has been completely modernised to an exceptionally high standard - and the facilities are excellent as are the rooms. The owners and team are friendly, engaging, customer focused and professional, and the guest is made to feel valued. Although without a car park there is on-street parking - however, there is an excellent facility directly opposite the hotel in the form of the railway station car park - plentiful & secure spaces, managed by RingGo and just £1.50 (online price) for an overnight stay until 8am.
Cons -
- Parking
- As stated above but this is the problem in all towns now
- There is nothing not to like.

Friendly staff, clean room, good rate, superb food in the bar.
I liked everything
Location and staff
Leaking radiator in bathroom
We found the staff to be very helpful, kind and approachable with any questions we had. The hotel was gorgeous with its interiors and was well kept. We ate at the Junction on the first night which again was lovely, with kind and enthusiastic staff and good food! The location was great - parked at the train station over the two days and were able to drive over to lots of places nearby to explore!
I struggle with my back, especially in bed and during the night so when researching places to stay, I looked carefully into how comfortable the beds were - I noticed a lot of people saying their stay was comfortable so we went for this hotel however our mattress was insanely hard and not bouncy at all - we were in a top, family room so luckily had a spare duvet to use as a mattress topper which helped but that was a downside to our stay. Apart from that, everything else was brilliant
Cleanliness excellent service parking
Room was really small
Great location. Welcoming staff. Fabulous breakfast with quality ingredients
A little bit tired, rooms need new doors, locks did not seem particularly secure. USB socket in room would be useful.
Evening meal and Breakfast good quality
Parking arrangements for stay was little awkward as hotel indicated parking available at train station but it was App Parking on a daily rate so you couldn't purchase for duration of stay as parking charges renewed at midnight. Off street limited and restricted
Location
The bedroom was noisy, the curtains weren’t fitted well, it was tiny. The restaurant took last orders at 9.45 and there was no room service! The attached pub was also closedI went for breakfast at 9am and the breakfast was finished! I was told the night before not to worry about booking as there was plenty of room
Location wasgood nice walk to town parking was hit and miss so we parked in the stastion car park £4.50 for 24 hours brilliant breakfast was lovely
Only down fall we were on second floor with stairs and have mobility issues
Location easy to find. Good and inexpensive parking close by.
Room very hot but just left the window open. Floor boards creaked but it’s an old building, hope it didn’t disturb the people on the floor below.
Friendly staff & lovely comfortable room. Great position near the Carnforth heritage centre.Excellent breakfast…plenty of everything & good service.
It was great. No complaints at all.
Great location close to railway station, buses and shops. Staff all very helpful. Room was lovely and comfortable. Lift good.
There was nothing to not like.
All the staff were lovely & helpful. We ate in the bar both evenings and the food was excellent quality & reasonably priced. We asked if it was possible to have breakfast 30 mins before the normal times which was accomodated without any question. Breakfast was freshly cooked with a nice selection of fruits, cereals and bottomless coffee. We will definitely stay here again if we return to the area.
A great location with cheap overnight parking at the adjacent railway station. Fabulous modern bathroom and comfy bed. The staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful The breakfast is really good quality and value, and we really appreciated being able to eat earlier than the scheduled time over the weekend so we could make an early start We didn't plan to eat in the hotel both nights, but after the first, we couldn't imagine eating elsewhere. The menu is good and the specials were truly special ! Proper quality ingredients cooked to perfection We will definitely stay here if we return to the area
The staff was friendly and the food was amazing.
There was loud music either coming from the pub next door or from a cricket club conference. It started at 8.30 pm and finished at 11.30 pm. Apart from that, it was quiet most of the time the other days.
Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent
Location is excellent - just 5 mins from M6. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped.
On-street parking only.
Excellent location opposite station. Good value for money. Meals available if required. Friendly staff. Well appointed room.
Nothing to dislike.
