Location
A very comfortable bed. The full english breakfast was excellent as was the smoked salmon on sourdough. location of the hotel was perfect for accessing the town centre, but still in a quiet area.
Location was great and the room was large.
Outdated but serviceable shower and bath
Location is excellent. Near to Market Square but with easy access to the Fells.
Location is on a busy street. Late night noise from passers by can be frustrating when sleeping. However this did not ruin my stay. Just a minor annoyance that is not within the hotels control.
Staff in morning very friendly breakfast was fast and hot
Room was not great for money i paid , bed was not comfy , shower was rubbish , bath towels tiny.
Clean and the room was fine. The bar area was very nice to
For the price the property was good
A lovely hotel in a great position and located just a short walk away from the main shopping street with various pubs and restaurants too, plus a comfortable walk to the lake. Private onsite parking was a bonus which meant we didn’t have to move the car during our two-night stay.Staff members all very friendly - from a walk welcome at check-in to the ladies serving the lovely hearty breakfasts too.
A lovely period property that has been nicely maintained however the bathroom and bedroom furniture a little tired - although the large bed was very comfortable and would stay here again.
The location was perfect, the views around the hotel are spectacular. The old fashioned feel of the hotel. Breakfast was amazing and the lady who served us went above and beyond.
Room didn't feel very executive for what I paid for but was in black Friday sale so wasn't to bothered. Shower wasn't very good.
Cleanliness. Breakfast menu
Long wait at for breakfast. No lounge or bar. No restaurant for extra meals
Great value for money. Always a great breakfast with friendly, attentive team. As previously when stayed here, very clean room and public areas/ bar
Not a dislike however, have recommended larger bath towels should be looked into
Breakfast was delicious. Very good location.
Not many parking spacesPillows were to hard not very comfortable
great location and lovely staff and breakfast
could do with some updating
Breakfast was great. Lovely views. Parking.
Great location, easy to drive or walk to loads of great hikes. Historic building from the 1880s right in town that was so welcoming and cosy. The room was really warm when we arrived and smelt lovely. Plenty of space, the bed was so comfortable and incredible views of the mountains all around. Car park is tight but we got parked 2 out of the 3 days we stayed and parked on a nearby road on the last night but the public car park was really close and I would have happily paid. Breakfast is also great with plenty of options and good food to set you up for the day. Really happy to have booked this hotel for our winter trip and certainly would return.
As it is an old building, sounds can be heard from the other rooms occasionally, creaks etc. if a light sleeper perhaps ask for a top floor bedroom.
Size of room was good
I picked this one as it said it had parking and evening meals. It had neither. The parking was limited to a few cars, far less than the number of rooms.
Location excellent and the team extremely helpful. There was a limited choice at breakfast, however the full english breakfast (v) we had was delicious. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the view of the snow capped mountains from the room was stunning.
We weren't lucky enough to get a parking bay and ended up moving the car around various car parks in Keswick. An irritation but not the fault of the Hotel, we'll arrive earlier next time!
THe location was great the staff friendly room clean
Mattress lumpy breakfast cold on first morning no hot water till 4pm
Unable to stay for breakfast which looked like it would have been really nice. The room and location were ideal. A real gem for keswick.
Nothing to speak about.
