Comfy abd stylish room. Really helpful staff and great food.
Loved if all
The location
There was no ware to park during the day so we parked in the over flow, we went out on the night time and returned at 9pm and had search fir a parking space at back of hotel due to three functions going on in the function rooms..
Comfy, characterful bedroom. Very nice shower room and bath. Breakfast... huge choice. I needed to leave asap after 7am, and gentleman supervising breakfast took my cooked breakfast order early.... it was very good of the kitchen to accommodate me.
Room very warm. Opened a window but an air conditioner unit was a little noisy all night. Only slightly distracting. Generally happy, hence 9.
Spacious room, huge comfy bed.
Glass bathroom doors
Love the location of this hotel in its stunning grounds. We stay regularly when visiting family so we enjoy seeing Hardwick Park in all its glory in all seasons. Also love that our dog is welcome to stay too.
Excellent grounds, really nice hotel, very friendly, staff all good, food good. Will def stay again.
Can’t think of anything!
The property was lovely, the location was perfect
We stayed in room 106 for our anniversary the room on arrival was perfect however, throughout the day we noticed a foul smell coming from the bathroom ( really bad drains) the smell got so bad we even considered going home as we had to leave the window open all night and keep the bathroom door closed for the duration, if I’m being honest it really did spoil our night. This morning the smell is even worse. I wish I had complained but I know how busy the staff are who were lovely. I would only return if we were in a different room.
fantastic location. very spacious room with massive bed with comfortable bed and nice quality bedding. enormous beatiful bathroom. very nice and efficient room cleaning team. staff overall is very attentive and friendly. massive car park.
the hotel is proper tired, with a lot of minor breaks, scratches and cutting costs decisions. no fireplace in the bar :( - no lounge, just a bar alrbeit quite cozy. poor drinks/cocktails selection. breakfast selection is very poor in my opinion, we have seen better breakfast in Travelodge. food in the restaurant pricey with mediocre quality (in my opinion)
Scenery
Room very small Kept up all night by people next door shouting till 3am
Location was ideal for us. Dog could be walked safely but not too far from A1 as we were en route down south.
No info in the bedroom about meal times and the WiFi didn’t work in our bedroom.
Reception was courteous and helpful and the room very warm and comfortable. We arrived late so were unable to see much of the surroundings, but it is a lovely place.
Everything was just right - we have no criticisms
Very clean and tidyStaff greatGreat location
The room was a nice size and warm and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a car park outside of the hotel.
There was no lift in the hotel so carrying a heavy case is difficult up two flights of stairs. The menu in the restaurant was limited particularly if you don't eat lamb or fish! It was not possible to turn down the heating in the room so it got very hot at night so it was difficult t sleep even with the window open. The hot water also took a long time to come through.
The bedroom was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable and and I had a good size bathroom which had great lighting. The breakfast was lovely too
The bathroom wasn't very well maintained as the radiator was quite rusty and looked quite old, also some of the tiles were broken
very good room, with excellent view. quiet. Nice soft towels.
It took a while for the water to get hot, in the bathroom. Very bad reception on the television. The step in the bedroom is all the same colour carpet, hard to see it sometimes, tripping hazard.
I met a client for dinner at the hotel, the food was good.Breakfast was also good
There was no heated towel rail in the bathroom, also I had trouble getting the radiator in the room to work as this was quite stiff and difficult to turn.At dinner your waitress had no idea about the house wine, she said that she had never drank wine and so had no idea if it was good value or not(you had an offer on at 2 x Rump Steaks and a bottle of house red as this was a Monday)We did not take the house wine but had an alternative - much more expensive
very well located for the local race course which was the purpose of our visit however very pleasantly surprised by the surrounding countryside and the park We took advantage of the good weather and we walked throughout the grounds and surrounding park way and it was a
Overall we were very pleased Breakfast on the first day of our stay was somewhat overcooked and a bit of a disappointment but in the second day it was delicious
