    Cons -

    • Not much to say here
    • The room had a couple of broken things, but not a complaint as it was cheap.I also had quite an odd interaction with a staff member on arrival, quite the rude, but I know how hospitality can be.
    • Decor, pillows, doors to room not very secure

The room was clean but decor not great. Pillows had seen better days & were like cement , not good value for money & wouldn't stay here again

Location was the only good thing.

Bathroom was not attached to the room and was not even on the same floor. Room was very small. Bed was uncomfortable. Massive stain on the carpet.

Central location, small but comfortable bedroom . Very friendly staff .

Bar area could do with upgrade to more modern tables and chairs .

Great location. Decent value for money.

We would not have stayed here had we known that the pub next door had live music thumping through the walls until after midnight! This was a Friday night so I assume it's a weekend thing but I wish I'd seen, in reviews, that this could be a problem for people like us who go to bed at 10.00.This review is a warning to those people. Couldn't fault the staff or the location but the stay was totally ruined by this unwelcome noise that was significantly disruptive of our ability to get to sleep. Even with earplugs in! Thankfully we only stayed one night before travelling on to Ireland.

Great window seat to admire the sea view

Room a bit small but we were only there one night.

The property is right on the harbour front in the centre of the village. There is free parking on the harbour. The room was comfortable, clean and plenty of hot water. An excellent breakfast and the owners were very welcoming.

The room was on the small size.

Good locationNice bedroom recently refurbishedStaff were really friendly

It was just a bad choice of timing due to so many motorbikes constantly parking in front of outside hotel so very noisy due to that

    Location

Rusty radiator and mouldy shower in bathroom. Skylight area needing cleaner. Poor breakfast if you wanted continental. 3 unpeeled oranges (one rotten) and a banana for fruit. Only thing continental was small pastries which were dry.

Lovely staff, great food. We had breakfast and diner. We will go back.

    8TerryPosted on: 5-6-2025

Location, views across harbour, restaurant menu, good breakfast options. Although small, room was very comfortable for one person only.

Prefer to see more fruit on offer on dinner and breakfast menus. TV reception bad, sound and vision kept breaking up - it was unwatchable. Would have preferred cycle storage to be secure and under cover. Best offering was tucked away in yard of adjacent cottage. It worked out ok but this was a minus point for me.

Food was excellent. Staff very friendly. Overall good value for money.

Room was clean but a bit dated. Toilet was uniquely situated in what looked like a wardrobe.

Centrally located on the picturesque waterfront. Convenient parking and easily accessible. The room was clean and comfortable, with everything you might need.

The new menu which started on Good Friday was amazing. It included an enormous amount of gluten free options, as I am coeliac, sometimes eating out I have to opt for what's available rather than what I fancy. This wasn't a problem here. The presentation of every meal was to a very high standard, so compliments to the Chef. The staff were amazing, very friendly but efficient, and couldn't do enough for you. Nothing was too much bother. The hotel looks as though it is going through a revamp at the moment and will look amazing once completed. We booked a small double room and it was small, but you find that with all cottages. We were in the annexe with a small garden, great for our dog which had a separate exit leading to the street, again, perfect for taking our dog out. The property is in an ideal location, right on the front with seating outside where you could sit for hours, watching the world go by. We will definitely be returning soon. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

We booked a small double room although it was small you're not in the room for long. The only negative/constructive criticism I have about the bedroom would be there was no chair, no hook to hang a coat, no mirror to dry your hair and finally no mat for the shower. This would not put us off returning again.
