- Breakfast was acceptable.I didn't eat there in the evening.
- The restaurant staff were absolutely wonderful.
- Location lovely and staff helpful and friendly.Enjoyed the breakfast.
Cons -
- When I went to pour a coffee, they whiskey my breakfast away. Luckily it was resolved and I got to eat.Getting to the hotel was quite a navigation exercise, with lots of turns. The carpark was very full.
- I'm pretty sure our room is used for staff accommodation. It was extremely tired There were damp patches on the ceiling. The ceiling was wallpaper on it and was peeling in places. The bathroom was utterly grim. There was ink marker marks on the tiles, the floor was pretty uneven and the wooden shelf at the end of the bath was rotten. The net-curtains in the bedroom were badly stained with what looked like rust. The room had very old fashioned soft furnishings. We weren't convinced the carpet was terribly clean. The TV remote was a breeding ground and absolutely filthy. Attention to detail is needed and Room 1 SHOULD NOT BE RENTED OUT to paying guests!
- The radiator in our room didn't seem to be working Room was an excellent with a spectacular view

The radiator in our room didn't seem to be working Room was an excellent with a spectacular view
Another lovely weekend had by us staff were great, friendly Food was excellent lovely sea views from our room and dining room,Rooms were very comfortable
Good location
Very soft uncomfortable beds. Didn’t sleep at allWhich after a 5 hour drive wasn’t ideal. Very dated rooms. Passable not great
Great staff lovely location
My only criticism would be the breakfast, it was all a bit insipid. Boiled sausages n bacon.I Prefer grilled not reheated microwave.
Location,what a view! Peaceful,nice spacious room.
Nothing really, maybe the TV channels it received.
The hotel was beautifully decorated in a comfortable country house style. The lounges and bar area were well laid out and encouraged social interaction. The view was to die for and the hotel made the most of this with large and floor to ceiling windows. Stunning.
Staff were superb from moment we arrived, friendly made to feel so welcome and nothing was a hastle.
Climb up the hill from town..
The overall friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Its location, giving spectacular views of the harbour and easy access to all attractions and amenities. The food was lovely and the chicken burger is the best I’ve ever had! Our dog was also very pleased with his daily sausage for breakfast!
Clean and respectful friendly staff and great food.
Lovely location, friendly staff who are so helpful, second time we have stayed here. We would come back despite couple of issues.
The rooms are dated and tired, could do with getting decorators in. The window in our room was broken and during spell of bad weather felt like it was going to blow in. The staff did what they could at time, but clearly needs attention. The Internet signal in our room was intermittent.
We had an upgrade room with seaview, which was beautiful, because it was stormy weather and we had a perfect view on little harbour.
interior is rather old-fashioned.
A really great hotel, with a great feel to it. It was easy to reach and very good parking. Our room was very comfortable with a view to die for. Breakfast was excellent and the staff could not have been better.
The fan in our bathroom didn’t work and unfortunately another guest in a different room was smoking which then transferred to our bathroom via the duct. A strange experience and whilst not the fault of the hotel, it was unpleasant all the same.
Breakfast was good. Hotel very traditional. Good view
We booked meal in evening. Quite expensive and very disappointing. Oven chips and a very difficult to eat version of a steak pie. Quite inedible. However at check out we were refunded the price of meal without any fuss.impressed with that
Good dinner and marvelous breakfast. Lovely room with splendid view. Good three star. Happily stay here again. Staff could not have been more helpful and made sure you were happy.
Room was a little dusty and a little old fashioned but this did not detract from our overall enjoyment of our stay. Thought the wine at dinner was a little overpriced, but it was our choice to drink wine.

The hotels site is overlooking Portpatrick harbour.Looking out to sea, so excellent views from the hotel rooms, lounges and dinning room.Standard of food and service very good.
the staff were excellent, attentive and helpful.
for what you are paying for meals there is not alot of choice and not alot of it, especially breakfast.Rooms abit outdated, need updating.
The perfect position to Portpatrick,
You could not get a drink at 9.20 in the evening and I felt bad as the manager had worked long hours on her own, and no other staff about to get a drink, the furniture was very dated, we had no heat in the room either the maintenance man tried to fix it but it still only went Luke warm, we left a day earlier than was booked and was offered nothing back in money and had paid for breakfast also. It’s a shame as the hotel is in a prime position as well.
