    Pros +

    • The grounds were beautiful, the spa was modern and well kept, the room was lovely and comfortable
    • We were celebrating my sister's 60th birthday and I like how the staff all took part and offered to take the videos and photos and kept an eye out for my sister whilst we hid, ready to shout out 'surprise' when she walked in. The reception staff Lucy was EXTRA attentive to us.....made our stay there memorable. We will be back
    • Very friendly staff. Dinner very good. Bed very comfortable

    Cons -

    • a few of us got lost getting to the hotel
    • Rooms and general decor very tired
    • Being put in the paddock rooms, over 5 minutes away from the main hotel. The burger I bought in the bar was dreadful. Totally inedible. I got a refund but went hungry as I didn’t take them up on the offer of an alternative meal

    Location is great

The room was old and dated. It wasn't even part of the hotel, had to walk in the rain and wind to get to it. The TV remove was filthy and the room smelt of cigars/cigarettes. The towel rail was leaking. The bar staff were sneezing without covering their nose All in all top 3 worst hotels I have ever stayed in. I say this not as a gloat but having stayed at hundreds of hotels across the world for work over 20 years absolutely crap

The landscape and the amazing staff. I also greatly appreciated the commitment to sustainability and their steps towards being as environmentally friendly as possible.

Nothing. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of it :)

After being told we could book the spa on arrival, we were not able to . Used the leisure complex which cost £10 each not enough lounges and seating around the pool a couple having sex in the Jacuzzi and then for a staff was informed and they were left to get on with it. Jacuzzi left open and not cleaned afterwards various issues with the room which including calling maintenance twice.. one particularly miserable member of staff others were all very nice good breakfast and nice food good location great shame as a party of six we’ve been many times before and had a great time previously.

We stayed in the paddocks accommodation over three rooms. We experience various problems broken curtain rail large iron marked burns on the carpet in one room no lightbulbs in another room heaters would not turn on or turn off either like a sauna or a fridge.. maintenance were called out twice mould in the shower filthy toilet brush one rooms mattress was too large for the base of the bed by about 8 inches round. We have always had a good stay there before and this time was awful.

Location of the paddocks feels too far away from the hall/facilities. Rooms are very dated, definitely need to be made sound proof! Unfortunately we had an awful night stay and guests in the room next to ours were having sex and female shouting whilst this was going on from 23:00 to 14:15! In between they were in and out of the room banging the door. Smoking weed outside. We resorted to calling reception and a security staff came out quickly and spoke to the people and we did not hear anymore until they left their room at 08:15 leaving a bag of rubbish outside the building.

    Friendly staff and helpful

Problem with shower which we reported when we left

    10RobPosted on: 1-25-2026

Great gym and driving range next door…perfect for a mid week work stay

Rooms in the hotel are much nicer than the annexe which I think is called the Paddock

    9RobertPosted on: 1-23-2026

Excellent room and facilities, breakfast was very good.

Bed was too short. Room was in the Paddock suite

Lovely restaurant, bar ok but food not great. Didn't do spa but leisure facility is very nice. Room big and spotless. Fridge in room is a benefit.

No water in the room unless you order via room service. They ask you to complete forms to upgrade breakfast to the room and express checkout but don't supply a pen. Abit mean for 4*.

communal areas were done, if a little dated

very dated and tired in places. Lifts out of order, confusing signage. Bathroom smelled of drains, very grim toilet brush, several long black hairs in my room (not mine!) Not cheap considering condition

    2MohammadPosted on: 1-19-2026

Just the look like and the green

Dirty , not clean, furniture very old and carpet is dirty I found spider and ants in my room

    3RoniPosted on: 1-19-2026

I stayed the night before the trilogy seminar,it was not explained to me when I booked that I would not be in the main hotel but in The Paddocks. There was a drinks networking meet up in the bar the night before, as I was alone and the weather was awful I did not want to walk alone to & from.

To have been better booked into the main hotel as I was staying alone

    Clean

Spa too busy, couldn't use all facilities.

    3RoydenPosted on: 1-6-2026

    Breakfast was good.no problems

My wife got lots of bites from bedbugs

    8StevePosted on: 1-5-2026

The room and leisure facilities were lovely.

The food wasn't great. Only one vegan option available. Mushroom risotto. The soup was nice but they really need to offer more vegan options.

The deal was value for money the location beautiful. My initial room had faults but was grateful for the way the staff relocated us swiftly.

The rooms could have been slightly cleaner (few cobwebs) but happy overall with quality.
