About
The wide, tree-lined market place in Brackley, with its Georgian and Victorian houses and shops, is the delightful setting for this 13th century coaching inn. Enjoy beautiful leisurely walks along bridleways and footpaths with two major walkways: the Knightley and Grafton Ways (both well signposted). Nearby you can also find Stowe Gardens and Park, the largest landscape garden in Britain, which features a magnificent Georgian garden full of romantic temples and lakes. The ideal base to attend Silverstone Racing Circuit or for exploring Banbury, Buckingham, Oxford and Northampton, the Crown’s comfortable surroundings offer a cozy retreat coupled with good old-fashioned hospitality after a long day’s traveling.

Cons -
- We didn't get issued with an outside door key, so got locked out and had to go all the way home with a disabled , pregnant partner and a toddler. Card machine broken, so we ended up paying in cash. Refund so far not forthcoming. Room rubbish.

I had booked the wrong night, but manager resolved issue and was very understanding and pleasant.
Perfect location, nice breakfast arrangement, and great staff.
Everything okay.
Helpful staff. Room clean quiet and comfortable. Excellent location. Continental breakfast now available as an option. Very good for short stay.
We got two twin beds. The staff were lovely. The facilities are old. Beds very soft but we slept well. Close proximity to restaurants and pubs. The hotel is very old so you could call it charming. We were very close to the shuttle to silverstone and that’s all that mattered. We spent $1800 pounds three days, but that’s the price for the BGP. We are American, so it was more like $2500. The staff helped us find parking. Met some nice people in the bar.
Lighting very very poor. Nearly impossible to put on makeup. Not enough outlets. Coffee maker, but not outlet. Place needs to be upgraded, but it has its charm.
Manager Shaun on hand to greet us on arrival, excellent customer service. Team behind the bar were lovely and again, excellent customer service. Location couldn't be better and we had a great room. Stayed in a family room with Mum and sister. Ground floor in coach house. Great room with a double and single so is a good family room. Free parking right outside our door. Lovely patio area for evening drinks. Room very clean and comfortable, thank you Lima.Walk through the front entrance and straight onto the high street which is lovely. We lunched at the local Turkish restaurant sitting in the sunshine. Next day we breakfasted at the Old Bakery as didn't reserve breakfast at the hotel.... Monday to Friday a continental breakfast is provided if requested by 10pm the evening before, cooked breakfast available on Saturday and Sunday.A bonus was discovering the Antiques Cellar (as seen on Bargain Hunt) right next door! Will definitely be revisiting just to spend time in the Cellar and when we do we'll definitely re-book at the Crown Hotel. Thanks again Shaun for being so kind and helpful.
Can honestly say I can't think of anything.
Great location, great ambience
Showers was not working properly
The Hotel was quaint and quirkey and would be somehwere i would stay again if they managed to sort out the issues.
The first roomn we were given had a broken toilet, which is nobody's fault and things like that can happen. The room we moved to was on such a bad slope that both myself and my wife almost rolled out of bed during the night. The bracket holding the TV on the wall was broken so the TV was tilted to the right and could not be straightened. The remote control allowed the TV to be turned on and off but nothing else so we had one channel and couldn't turn the volume up or down. There was black mould on the ceiling of the bathroom. In the bar there was a choice of several draft beers but only 2 of them were on so we had to have bottled.
Great bar and staff were superb
Whilst the beds were clean and comfortable the room could have been a lot cleaner and needed some attention
Nice building and town. Clean and comfortable bed.
Bathroom floor, walls and toilet were not clean at all. The sink was spotless. Weird.
Great service, big clean and comfortable room. Good value for the area. Will be back nothing to much trouble for the staff to help Great to see polite and smiling faces.
Dated in places, but that is part of it's character and charm
Very good
Great High Street Location with easy parking outside. Is an olde worlde pub. Comfortable room.
Good location, easy to park outside, clean rooms and linen, no noise, slept well, good bar
After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit worried ,but had nothing to worry about. Staff excellent, food good, service outstanding. Big bright clean comfortable room. Brilliant night's sleep
Great location with easy parking and possibly the best breakfast ive had on the road this year. Well worth the £15 charged , quality ingredients and lot's of it.
Building was a bit cold , should keep the open fire in the bar lit a bit further into April
Great place Welcoming and friendly Good choice of Drinks and food Continental breakfast outstanding
Old looking in places, but didn't effect the wonderful stayThank you
Cold room, lack of available food. Menu limited, and more so as both items we ordered turned out to be unavailable.
Stayed 5 nights, was only there in morning and at night. Basic room, shower and toilet. Good for what I needed and for a decent price. Friendly staff. Supermarket 20 meter walk. Three hours parking one hour no return in street. Some restaurants, pubs and shops in street. Will be back later in year.
Old interior but clean. Bit noisy from street and in weekend from (friendly) locals in the hotel pub, but didn't bother me much.
