    Pros +

    • An ideal venue for a celebration
    • Excellent stay Very good for priceBreakfast was excellent apart from the sausage Which was of poor quality But that is quite the norm at a lot of hotels Can’t understand why hotels can’t seem to find a reasonable local sausage Rather than one that the local chip shop would sell
    • Decent location. Pretty good breakfast.

    Cons -

    • Small over priced room. Small bathroom. Unpleasant smell at times.
    • No porridge or natural yogurt at breakfast No fresh wholemeal bread at breakfast
    • stayed in the swans nest, lovely room, only issue was low water pressure from the bath /shower hose,

Food very good. Staff friendly. Bar facility good. Service good. Room clean. Good car park. Excellent location for the train station. I would come again to this hotel.

We stayed at the front of the hotel and there was a lot of noise from the road and the road crossing. We stayed in the Midland Room and whilst the bath was nice we did not have a stand up shower facility.

Lovely hotel, close to railway . Good food and great choice for breakfast . Recommend as place to stay in Skipton .

The hotel was very warm, which made it very comfortable to stay in especially in February! The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Parking was great and decor beautiful.

Lovely room, clean & very comfy, very close to train station which was perfect for us. Lovely restaurant on site where we ate dinner, & the breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Friendly professional staff.Would stay again

Traffic noise through window (our room overlooked the road & train station) might bother some people but not us.

The hotel is a short walk from the town centre and has plenty of car park space. The staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. Rated as an AA 3 star hotel it punches above this rating.

We were ok but the hotel does wedding receptions so not always the quiet weekend you may be hoping for. For me they would do better to sell the hotel as the quiet romantic break, focusing on the food and accomodation. The bar and restaurant are warm and cosy and better suited for couples.

    9SusanPosted on: 2-4-2026

Comfortable with welcoming staff. Good breakfast.

Only problem was a wedding event one evening, until 12, our room was immediately above the disco!!!

    8GaynaPosted on: 2-3-2026

Excellent location for walking along the canal towpath into Skipton town centre.

The room we stayed in had a minuscule bathroom, very basic, shower, toilet was butted up in between the shower and hand basin.

Canalside room was very comfortable and quiet

Bathroom was lacking shelving to place toiletry bags etc.

    10StephenPosted on: 1-25-2026

Great room. Great bar. Amazing food, both breakfast and evening meals. And the staff are wonderful.

    Nothing to dislike. Really.

    7PaulPosted on: 1-25-2026

    The location was great

Breakfast was cold our room overlooking a skip a bit pricey.

    10LesleyPosted on: 1-20-2026

Great location. Lovely, friendly staff. Comfortable bed and room.Ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely.Breakfast was good.

A little unsure about the sliding door for the ensuite. Not ideal but good fittings and very clean.

We had two twin rooms that were clean and tastefully decorated. The hotel was smart, the breakfast was excellent, the hospitality was brilliant. The staff were kind, approachable and went out of their way to accommodate us. The kitchen had a score of 5 out of 5 for hygiene. The location of the hotel is directly across the road from the train station which is very handy. It only takes five minutes to walk into Skipton centre from the hotel. We arrived early to the hotel and they looked after our bags until we checked in at 3 pm. Skipton was a lovely place with enjoyable nightlife with many real ales pubs and several fantastic local bakeries.

Nothing about this hotel was disappointing. It is excellent value for money.

Breakfast staff were so friendly and really welcoming. It was an easy place to have a dog. The location is great for walking into Skipton.
