Super friendly staff, spacious and equipped rooms, fantastic location a stones throw to the dales and good mountains, great food, and dog friendly!!

Room was quite hot when we arrived but easily fixable by cracking a window slightly, and the tiniest thing would be to add a water bottle filling station as it seems like a hotel popular with hikers, but the room taps are perfectly good for this if you're staying and don't forget before heading downstairs, and the staff are super friendly so you can always ask them as well :)

Clean, spacious rooms, staff very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

The room was lovely and warm when we arrived with the heating on. The shower was brilliant! Room was comfortable and the staff were really lovely. Breakfast was included and was really good.

The room was good but if you're a light sleeper and someone is walking around the room above you it might wake you up. I'm not a particularly light sleeper but it disturbed my sleep.Also, try and find somewhere else to have dinner as the food here is expensive and not great.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were great, very spacious, comfy beds, big bathroom. Pub was lovely too, especially after a 12hr hike!

Location is amazing for time in the Dales Dog friendly. Great food. Staff were just great. Free parking. Free WiFi. Nice range local beers.

Rooms are a little tired looking but happy to trade that off for everything else that is great about this place

Great location. Friendly staff and great breakfast. Comfy bed and plenty of hot water for showers.

Bathroom was dirty. The breakfast set up was weird and the evening meal was ok

There was bacon sausage but no eggs no hot plate and plate small.

Very nice room, very comfortable, bed a little small however. We were expecting a continental breakfast, but was hugely surprised when there were bacon and sausages to make your own breakfast sandwiches, very tasty

The bar area was very cold had to ask the barman to put the log burner on, which he eventually did but we were that cold by then we went upto our room.

Single glazed windows made it noisy (bad weather). They ran out of several dishes on the menu quite early in the evening. They also ran out of bacon/ sausages for breakfast. No tea and coffee facilities in room.

Gorgeous period hotel in a beautiful village. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Not having my prepaid booking cancelled ok despite without being informed. No food choices. Limited food available.

The village location was amazing.

Personally the bedroom was too warm, in spite of open windows and no heating on we were too hot over night.

Unfortunately our evening meal was a disappointment , We both opted for the fish course and both our meals were overdone / dry - shame really - not the norm I feel sure. We complained and to be fair Management addressed the matter in the right way.The towel heater in our room was not secure to the wall - hanging on by a tread so it was. Also the toilet roll holder was simarly unsecure.

Cancelled without informing us

The accommodation was cancelled without informing us. We were left in the car park at 9 pm without accommodation. Disgraceful customer services
