- This is our third time visiting. Fantastic location and facilities. Great service and excellent food. The views are beautiful and there is so much to do. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and they remembered us after a year!
- spa was nice and quiet, drinks available in there. staff pleasant and helpful.
- Reception staff very friendly, even the cleaners were helpful and friendly. The outdoor Jacuzzi was amazing. Lovely hotel. Spa a bit pricey but grateful for the experience
Cons -
- WiFi could be a bit better
- only one restaurant in use so had choice of both menus but could not mix and match dishes. Both starters and mains brought out at the same time which was not acceptable to us, it felt like they were trying to finish early as it was fairly quiet.
- No fridge in the room is the only thing I would add

Staff so friendly, service and food excellent, spa awesome, views stunning and super dog friendly. We will be back for sure ?
The whole stay. The room overlooking the lake was superb and the food in the restaurant was excellent. To celebrate our anniversary we were given a free glass of fizz which was a nice touch.
There was nothing we did not like
Excellent hotel, lovely comfortable Dales Room, great staff.
Menu in the Restaurant is outdated and does not reflect the quality of the food which is excellent, there’s a lot of old people favourites on there !
The location is absolutely stunning, and the staff were great throughout.Nice bar, good food. The room was clean with good facilities.
It will be a preference thing, but I found the bed hard and uncomfortable, slept quite badly. It was two single mattresses put together with a topper. I didn't think the breakfast was worth the additional money (added at the hotel so possibly more expensive that way) - it was tasty, but small portions of the hot food (can have unlimited continental too), and the restaurant was very busy
Staff were super friendly and polite, facilities were amazing and the scenery just beautiful.
Price of breakfast which meant we decided to have a brunch on the way home
Setting excellent Spa good setting and spa facilities. Seems expensive for a basic 2 hour slot. Complimentary drink may be a useful suggestion going forward
Rooms a bit tired but comfortable
Friendly staff and very welcoming to dogs. The spa is great.
The room was not very clean. For example, there was jam on the mirror and lots of human hair in the room. The fishing lake is closed in winter and half of spring.
Lovely looking plenty space in rooms
Food. Got food poisoning.
Stunning property, beautiful location and great spa facilities. Cosy bar area, restaurant and the breakfast was high quality. Good size rooms and a comfortable stay.
NA
The hotel is in a great area with lovely walks and a number of resturant/bars in site to chose from.
That check in was delayed without informing anyone. Also when I went for a shower on the evenings the hot water was completely cold. I went to reception to report it to be told they were aware and to try again in 30 minutes. I tried again an hour later and it was still cold and I tried it again 30 minutes later which is was still stone cold. I rang reception both times, the later time leaving a voicemail to which no one got back to me about it.
Lovely large room , very clean fabulous staff and lovely spa
The food wasnt the best and spa was expensive
Friendly staff. Comfortable and well maintained. Beautiful grounds.
The food in the restaurant was not as good as the last time we stayed. However, the food at the Spa was excellent.
Lovely hotel, great staff, really welcoming. We stayed with our puppy so the pet friendly rooms were perfect. The room was spacious and clean. Although we didn’t get the dog pack which was supposed to be in the room which was a bit disappointing. We will deffo be returning!
The location, spa, gym and restaurant were great.
The actual room was quite pricey for what we got. We expected the room to be a step up from a Premier Inn type room and our view definitely wasn't of the garden.
Lovely location, lovely staff and clean
Excellent service, super room comfortable and clean.
Beautiful setting, large well appointed bedrooms , nice bar and lounge area
