Pros +
- An exceptional village pub catering for both locals and visitors .. a high standard of accommodation adjacent to the pub Excellent food at a reasonable price
- Location was beautiful, room was extremely comfortable and well equipped, food and drink spot on and the staff were super friendly.
- Great Breakfast, and we dined in the restaurant for a meal which was also lovely.Staff were extremely and polite and they let me use one of the rooms for family and guests to celebrate my Daughter’s Wedding.
Cons -
- The room was a bit narrow, so we would only want to use it for a couple of nights stay as a little tight for space. The underfloor heating took a little time to warm the room up.
- We were really happy with our choice nothing needed improving
- The underfloor heating was not working but a heater was provided. The bathroom floor could have been a little cleaner.

Super friendly staff, cosy bar, newly refurbished room, very good pub food, and walks from the door.

Room was great and the bed very comfortable.

A beautiful rural pub, friendly locals, staff and other guests. Food was excellent. Bed very comfortable.
Dogs off their leads. Well, the owners letting them, really!
We ate meals in the restaurant, the food was really lovely.Nice touch to have a fridge outside of the rooms to be able to get fresh milk and water anytime during the day.
Great location and lovely friendly pub with good rooms
Location is very pretty and we were late checking in but the staff were very welcoming and ensured we had an evening meal. We stayed in the loft which was lovely and the breakfast really enjoyable
Beautiful cosy room, lovely and clean
The location and the lovely food in the pub
Nice room and facilities, lovely quiet location. Friendly staff and a super breakfast nothing was too much trouble for them.
Liked everything about the place.
The Inn a quintessential centuries old pub was a delight to have a drink in and mingle with locals and their dogs with contemporary rooms located behind. The bed large was very comfy, with lovely free standing bath. Staff welcoming with lovely full cooked breakfast and other options.
The emergency light on ceiling was too bright and kept us waking up. Never encountered one like this before and understand why they provided complimentary eye shades.
Lovely little village, great location, comfortable accommodation and great customer service. Hubby was very happy there was a fan in the room.
Loved everything about the property.
Location, atmosphere
Lost water. Would like a fridge in the room for medications.
Breakfast was OK the first morning but the order came out wrong on the second.
We ordered steak in the first evening which we couldn't eat as it was so tough and full of gristle we had to leave it.
Made to feel welcome straight away. Studio room was small but served our purposes fully. Clean, modern with all the trimmings. Beds were extremely comfortable. Evening dining and breakfast were superb. Staff were friendly and helpfull, especially the tall young lad who was ever so polite. We would have taken him home with us but no room on the motorbikes. A perfect last stop heading south on our tour of Scotland.
No dislikes whatsoever.
Great location, large filling brekky with good choice
Water went off numerous times when showering.
The location is great, in a little quiet and scenic village, but within 10 minutes walk to Grassington and Thresfield, so there are more things to do if you want to. The food was good pub food and you could eat in the restaurant or the pub itself.
The only niggle we had was we were on the ground floor and the people in the room above seemed to be up very early in the morning walking about, which we could hear clearly. Unfortunately the floor between us didn’t appear to be insulated, so our sleep was disturbed.
