Excellent one night stay. Very clean. Lovely staff. Great breakfast included in price.
Brilliant breakfast. Close to town.
Tv remote was a bit hit and miss.
The room was a good size. The location of the hotel suited us for visiting friends. The breakfast was good but could do with some continental options. The bedroom area of the room was clean and warm.
The water in the shower was never very warm and certainly would not have a bath. There were no fresh toiletries in the bathroom and the empty old ones were lying when we arrived. There was no spare toilet roll and no full one when we arrived. The shelf above sink was loose and was unsafe to put anything breakable on. The holder for tumbler was loose. There were two thin plastic tumblers there, very poor and for the cost of room not acceptable. The bathroom walls were in need of a clean as there was a whitish film on some areas and also the shiny surface was broken off completely. The bath panel had came away from the seal and there was a gap which looked bad. The bathroom was badly in need of some repairs. The pillows were very thin and not at all comfortable and there were no spare ones in the room.
The staff are full time hospitality. A nice cosy and warm hotel.
The hotel needs some small attention to details like frayed carpets on stairs and wallpaper needs re-glueing.
Lovely clean room with coffee and tea supplied. Good service.
Only my preferences and not a dislike. I like a flat pillow and a larger more powerful shower
The hotel is dog-friendly and the staff were very welcoming of our dog. The room was a good size so plenty of space for the dog's bed. The bed was comfortable and the pillows excellent (important for people of our age!)
The room was too hot for a comfortable night's sleep and the bathroom too cold for comfortable use. The shower over the bath was hopeless-I just could not get hot water from it so abandoned the attempt.
Breakfast went very well and we had largely continental style. Any room problems were sorted out quickly. Staff were able to advise on the town and transport.
Some room decor was a bit tired.
Staff were great, very professional and courteous
My bathroom didn’t even have a bar of soapCouldn’t figure out how to use my bedside lamp. Whole hotel is tired and in need of decoration and upgrade, prices are too high for what’s on offerFood was poor with a limited menu. Bar had a poor choice of beers.
Location for our needs
Shower was not powerful and water not hot.
Rooms are lovely. Large and clean.Great big car park and large lounge/restuarant.
Hard to find anyone working in the bar/lounge area. Always have to go and look for a staff member.Reception staff look miserable and are not particularly helpful which is a shame as it’s a nice hotel.
Large, quiet, comfortable room, huge bed. Lovely meal and breakfast in restaurant. Great location on park side with parking.
No issues
Attitude of staff, size of room and breakfast.
Uncomfortable bed and lack of high dusting.
Easy walk to montrose basin to see the geese. Cheerful friendly staff, quiet but convivial, and a really superb breakfast with Arbroath smokies and poached eggs.
quite slow wifi
The room we stayed in was lovely but we had a leak in the ceiling.
Even although we had booked and paid for two adults and 2 dogs we got charged again at the hotel for the dogs. Very annoying.
Quiet peaceful place to stay the night with a quality room. Breakfast a revelation. Choose the full Angus.
Good location.Breakfast OK
Window in bedroom, opaque therefore no outlook or good natural light
Breakfast was very good plenty of choice.
The mattress needs changing very uncomfortable. Bluebottle in the room.
