Cons -
- Food was very expensive
- The restaurant - cold, really poor service. Having to ask to order breakfast as several staff just walked past us. At dinner we got our plates cleared and just left. No offer of dessert, no extra drinks whilst staff stood at the bar chatting. When mentioned the staff member laughed!
- Cleaning staff coming into my room too early - and not fully cleaning all aspects - e.g. they never changed bed linen despite me asking them to.

Nice room, very clean and warm in minus temperatures!
Restaurant closed on arrival and Room Service menu was very limited for options - but the staff made sandwich to order , which was much appreciated after long drive!
Warm,clean and modern
Location and restaurant was very good
Reception I had to wait for over 1 hours before I was able to checkout it was only 1 stuff in Reception and she was on the phone . I was late for my meeting because of this. I have never experienced anything like this checkout never take more than 5 mins .
Reception, restaurant, bar, spa & breakfast all lovely. Staff were great.
The family room although large was quite dated. As a result the level of comfort was not as high as it could have been.
Room was well kept and clean with a nice viewThe staff were profesional Restaurant service was excellant
Room was large and clean, bedding on one of our beds had a small stain but the pillows were lovely. Bathroom had a good shower and plenty towels.Dinner was lovely with a good choice or food, I had the fish it was delicious Breakfast the main food was cooked to order and lovely and hot, the cold selection could have had more fruit apart from that a good selection of bread, teas and juice.Pool area was clean and well looked after
The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful with a reasonable choice at the continental buffet and a cooked breakfast brought to table. We actually dined at the Rookery which I believe is affiliated to the hotel and it was really very good.
Picking up your own hot and cold drinks at breakfast was a little bit of a balancing act and would have preferred waiter service, but did not seriously detract from the experience.
All of the staff we met during our stay were excellent. The room was comfortable and clean. The food was delicious.
Cooked Scottish breakfast a bit dry & tasteless but plenty other choice.Pool & facilities much improved since refurb
1st room we had had a very unpleasant smell about it.Spoke with housekeeping & they advised contacting reception. We were given another room which was better
Excellent
Too many emails from BeSpoke after booking. Not usual to have this much from Booking.com but I believe it was BeSpoke that were responsible. Even had 2 on the morning of departure !! Pity because everything else was excellent.
Excellent hotel and people, warm rooms in wintry weather and comfortable beds! Very good restaurant. Also close to the beach sea and playground. Walking distance to train station.
Lack of traditional kettle in the room!
Our room was huge and we had a great view over the first tee which my partner was extremely pleased about. The breakfast was ordered rather than a luke warm buffet which was a nice touch, plus the quality of the food was excellent.
Very comfortable accommodation and excellent facilities-lovely suite and pool.Food was fabulous
Was quite expensive but knew that in advance and was a treat
Comfortable bed, good setting and very clean.
Poor information from staff, not always able to find staff to assist. Was not explained about the holding fee on bank account for room charges and still awaiting the money to be returned to me.
Hotel is lovely and staff very helpful. Dinner and breakfast were good Room is comfortable with view of sea
All staff were friendly and helpful. The updated decor was tasteful and modern. The pool was fantastic. Food in the restaurant was absolutely beautiful.
Speed of service in the restaurant was slower than expected. Whilst we were not in a particular rush, we did feel that we were looking for staff to take the order. This was teh same at dinner and breakfast. The bed was not the comfiest but not so bad iwould complain.
I have been before and the hotel hasn’t changed much. The breakfast all be it not included in price of the stay had a large selection. I thought it was a suite I was getting but was just a fancy band for a double room. The pool and spa facilities were good.
Broken and cracked tiles around the Jacuzzi were unsightly. Was expensive for just one night in a double room as breakfast was not jncluded.
