Comfortable and clean, quite sufficient for our needs - relatively inexpensive so suited our budget well

No one to meet us, didn't see anyone during our stay, unit left open with keys inside, had to call to find out about access

Clean and simple but effective, perfect location for an early morning ferry trip.

The bathroom was way too small and claustrophobic.

It was a place to sleep and shower

The staff was lazy. Not everyone has the ability to call. Should have sent instructions through message on booking site. The door was a pain to figure out how to lock. No instructions.

Local to all facilities etc. Offered good clean and comfortable accommodation and parking.

I commented to the owner that I found the room very cold on the first day and the heating did not kick in till late on. This was mainly due to the accommodation being in the shade during the day and recommended small heating devices or other controls for it.

The price

No food and the bar was closed no food or drink

The owner came to meet us on arrival, he removed furniture to make the room easier for the wheelchair user, he brought us a heater just in case we needed it. Good free wi-fi. Very convenient location to the town centre. Beds were comfy. Very Clear instructions on a notice board in the room.

The driveway to the property was a challenge as I have a large vehicle and the wall was not flat on each side. Bathrooms need a bit updating and carpets

Very clean reasonable price and really handy for the early ferry

I have stayed here before, so the fact that I returned is a good sign. I find that the Thistle Inn is very conveniently located within easy walking distance of the town center, breakfast is not available but Morrisons with its cafe is just around the corner. For me the Thistle Inn has a feel good feeling.

I had to go so early to catch the ferry.

Its a fine place to stay for the night, completely clean and comfortable, flexible checkin time and close to the boat which is great.Nice big room with armchairs

Its not an Inn, the Inn is closed down, the accomodation is chalet style to the rear of the main property

It was quiet and was clean easy book in and helpful staff

Clean and tidy. Good night sleep near shop for food and breakfast

Sandy was very friendly and helpful.Good location very near to a supermarket and restaurants. Accommodation was clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped. Electric Shower provided a good hot water supply. On site parking was handy. Overall good value for money.

En suite bathroom was not the largest but it was adequate.

The place has seen better times. The pub at the front of the property is boarded up. There was no staff on the property when we were trying to check in. There was a phone number that we were supposed to call, but we didn't have a local phone. Luckily someone offered to call for us and were were told by someone on the phone which room was ours and that the key was inside. It worked... but we never saw anyone who worked there. Tiny bathroom. It is probably what I should have expected for the price, but it wasn't as nice as I was expecting from the reviews.
