The staff

Uncomfortable bed, poor shower access/water/pressure & temperature range, totally unusable bathroom sink. Cigarette smoke and noise filtering up to room. The whole room needed significant updating.

The hotel was in a good location, very close to the station.

The bathroom when we arrived was filthy, I was quite shocked. Stains on the toilet seat and bath was dirty. We arrived so late I didn't say anything. No fault of the hotel but the room was at the front of the hotel so the noise was unbelievable during the night,

Free parking. Easy location to explore town. Staff friendly.

Room a lil small, shower difficult to get heat right. Some early road noise.

Just across from the train station and about 5min walk to town , this was our 3rd stay at the Harboro Hotel

Good location for town. I was there for only one night to attend an event. I did not have any meals. The free car park was great, but needs a bit of attention re potholes.The room was a good size and well equipped.

Breakfast was expensive. It would be good to have a cheaper continental breakfast as well as a more expensive cooked one.

Location, evening meals, price of drinks.

Bed was hard and you felt the springs every time you moved. Breakfast was just too greasy

Everything apart from the washing and showing facilities was great.

There was a bare trickle of water in the room from the hot tap, cold water was almost non existent. The Shower was impossible to use, a bath would have taken all night to fill. Not an experience I would pay £100 a night to repeat.

Location, friendly staff and nice and clean rooms. Bar was pretty cheap and room was a great size.

It was OK overall and location was central for the town. It was clean and staff were friendly. Our biggest problem was that our room was stiflingly hot - we had the windows opened, radiators off, a fan on and it was still too warm to sleep comfortably. Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty but we had to do a lot of asking for things that had been forgotten or hunting them down for ourselves eg sugar, clean knives. - and for much of the time we were the only people breakfasting so it wasn’t that it busy. Overall, we were disappointed with the hotel and thought it poor value for money.

The room and ensuite bathroom were a great size and kept absolutely spotless. The bed was incredibly comfortable. All the staff were super-friendly and they really fill you up with food at breakfast. The free hotel car park at the back, and being two mins from Melton Mowbray's train station, as well as 5 mins walk from the shops, made it a really convenient location. The hotel restaurant/pub food was high quality.

I had the bay window bedroom to the front, and the racket made by the traffic outside was quite something. The single glazed sash windows stood no chance at keeping the noise out, and HGVs tear down the bridge and up Burton Street at 3am/4am. I noticed that when I stepped out of my room and into the hallway, and shut the door, it was completely silent. And also in the breakfast area on the ground floor, traffic noise was minimal. I wondered if it's something to do with sound travelling upwards and the orientation of the buildings on Burton Street affecting the acoustics.I'm not sure if there's anything that can really be done about that, other than writing to the council.

All of the staff were fantastic, warm, friendly and helpful. Family room was v big and v warm. Dinner was excellent - we ate from the Indian menu and loved it.

Our room was excellent - even had two loos, but one of them didn't flush. three out of four bedside lights didn't work. Small detail and didn't spoil our stay.

Location was good

The breakfast wasn’t good at all, the room was awful and had a really bad drainage smell, the sockets by the bed didn’t work, the walls were dirty, the fan had a gaping hole in the ceiling which was filled with tissue !?! And to top it off at 0830am when we went down for breakfast the two night porters were sat at the bar drinking pints of beer after their shift seemingly ended !!! which is not only illegal at that time but hugely unprofessional

We attended for a baby shower event & stayed overnight. We had a quad room for the four of us and had plenty of room for our 1 night stay, nice rooms, beds a bit springy (could feel them through mattress but not too bad) only issue is the water pressure in the bathroom as we were at the top, the shower trickled and the tap fired air through until it built the pressure up but that's the only issue. Rooms are well equipped tea/coffee etc & glasses for water/juice. Staff really friendly and the food was lovely!!

Noisy, too hot, no lifts. Your website breakfast £7.49. Actual cost was £12.95. Had we known when we asked for it, we would have eaten breakfast out.

Friendly and attentive staff. Our room had been beautifully upgraded and modernised.The food menu was extensive and very well cooked and presented.

The car park was too s.all for the number of guests. Also the surface of car park was in urgent need of repairThe internal staircase is original and could do to be upgraded to have a safe bannister on both sides.

The beds, the water pressure, the noise, the tricky WiFi, having to walk through up pub to get to reception, being given the wrong room to start with, the room not being as pictured.

Strange bath / shower layout but it is an old building so a good use of space

Good location for town and had free parking at the back of the hotel.Room was a decent size and had everything we needed. Hotel had a nice bar and eating area.
