This is a true temple to the tree and we have stayed more than once with real pleasure. The Arbor Day Foundation, which owns the property, is impressive. The lobby, the view, the room, the lounge and the staff were all wonderful.

It was way better than I had expected. The room was spacious, bed was very big and we had all the amenities we needed. I really liked that all the soaps and lotions were dove and I appreciate they had liquid hand soap.

Front desk was not always manned. Shampoo dispenser was empty and could not find anyone at front desk. He finally came in from outside. Light in bathroom was blinking. Bathroom lights were connected to entry lights-would not turn on in bathroom. Safe?

The customer service was amazing. They had pool toys and life jackets available for kids. They allowed a late check out. The breakfast matched the 2.5 etc. star rating of the hotel. It was there but not that great. But glad to have at least something.

The room had an odor and was not clean. Grounds had trash scattered. The room didn't have a chair like online photo...just a bed and desk chair at the desk. I complained and showed the manager the online photo. he brought a chair from another room.
