Proximity to Manchester airport, the pub part of the building has a cosy old world layout showing centuries of history and charm.

The bathrooms were fitted with mechanical waste machines that were very noisy, as well as our room the ones in other rooms could be heard at all hours, disturbing sleep, there was also a large noisy machine directly outside our room, either a generator or air con unit that run for most of the night.

Close to airport rooms are updated but small. Our view might as well have been a wall, just a dirty roof top. Quite a maze to get to. The attendant couldn’t be bothered to look for a sweater we had left in dining room. I had to go behind the counter and find it my self.

The appearance from the outside was disappointing (we nearly didn't stay) it is full of weeds and needs painting.Inside is in need of a refurbishment, the carpets in the corridor to the rooms needs cleaning/ replacing.

The breakfast was hot and tasty, with all the English breakfast requisites. The room was quite spacious. The bathroom had surface area around the sink for toiletries. The location was convenient to Manchester Airport.

The bottom of the shower curtain smelled soured. The carafe of water for coffee/tea at breakfast was not hot. The bed was comfortable. Extra sheet request was quickly met.

We asked for our room NOT to be serviced, but it serviced. No need to replace towels etc.

The playroom with toys and outdoor area for kids was much appreciated. The staff were friendly and the room was a decent size.

The hotel was very good value. For one night, the hotel is great, and the staff friendly and helpful. My first day I had a freshly cooked breakfast which was lovely. I would strongly recommend for very short stays.

I stayed for four nights, and would only recommend the hotel for one night stays. My room had no natural light and was tiny. Breakfast finishes too early in the week, and I missed it one day, food was cancelled one night because there was a large group dining. When you come and go in the evening, you have no choice but to walk through a congregation of the locals at the bar, which is uncomfortable, especially as the evening progresses.

Location was excellent for our group attending a show at Tatton Park.Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast & evening meal was good. Room was nicely refurbished, but see below.

Our room had been refurbished, but did not like the lack of drawers (same as a lot of hotels now). The bathroom looked really nice but was let down by the shower door not closing properly and noise from toilet & drains - the door should be easily rectified - not sure about the toilet?Found drinks a bit overpriced.

The poor instruction on where your room was....plus not clearly sign posted plus the landing towards your room is poorly lit

Room was a little small as I booked 4 deluxe doubles but sure I only got 3 and the toilet was small but really loud after flushing same as the shower I think it may have been the system for the water. Apart from that fantastic place staff were excellent and we are staying again ?

The food was expensive,the staff apart from the young lady this morning were disinterested and bordering on rude! Nobody appeared to be in charge,and one entrance and the same exit,what would have happened if there was a fire?

Travelled from South Wales for one night stay prior to flying from Manchester airport the next day. Hotel is conveniently located about 10-15 minute drive from the airport and has a restaurant/bar attached. Room was clean and comfortable and great value for money. Both check in and out were very efficient and ample parking also.

Quite isolated but was perfect for the purpose of our stay.

Location was perfect. Very quiet, but easy to access. Parking was great. Nice, large car park.

Missed breakfast on Sunday, had to leave early to catch my flight.

Not very much breakfast was very poor. Evening meal for the 8 of us was very poor also we sent desserts back as they were inedible. Clearing the table was very slow came w it th desserts and our main meal plates were still on table.

I was provided room on first floor, which was bit like cramped to navigate through stairs with lots of steps as you take the turns. Also was dark through the pathways (may be due to the colour of walls and doors).
