Easy to access, ample parking and very friendly staff.
The food was very good and staff were all very welcoming, the room ticked all the boxes with a comfy bed and good shower. Will book again if in the area.
Staff were very welcoming & friendly breakfast very good beds too soft but that's just my bad back
Beds too soft
Comfortable room, good bathroom, super friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast. As a van driver the parking was also good.
Comfortable, nice decor and sparklingly clean. Friendly staff and great food! Katie the owner couldn’t have done more to make us feel comfortable and accommodate our dietary requirements.
Nothing!
Lovely friendly staff Clean well appointed rooms Beds even more comfy than those at the Hilton !!! Will definitely be staying again if I’m in the area
Free mini bar !
Disappointing
My booking included breakfast which was not supplied. It was Christmas however my booking stated this was included but I was not advised this would not be supplied till I checked in, and with no apology. I was simply told or "yeah meant to call you but as you can see we are run off our feet !!! " I requested some form of compensation which I was told would need to be claimed from booking.com. They have advised me since this is not the case. The hotel has not responded to either mine or Booking.com's customer services complaint. The hotel itself is fairly clean and adequate but shabby and tired around the edges.
Staff made me felt welcomed and were friendly. Any issues with room was sorted while there. Their system of ordering breakfast on the evening for it being ready at a set time was a great idea.
First night room was too hot but after adjusting heating in the room it was fine the second night. I stayed in a the solo room and the emergency light is bright which might disturb some people but it never bothered me.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Warm and comfortable bedrooms. Great location with parking facilities. Simply relaxing.
Poor
Beds not made up over 2 night period, seemingly we had to request this service. When we asked about this the manager was not interested at all.
For a small hotel, the service and comfort were great. Breakfast (included) was generous and good choice. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Nice touch - fresh milk provided in mini-vacuum flask on request.
Room was not large (double) but adequate and with reasonable facilities. Lighting and heating could be better in the bathroom.
Lovely hotel. Even the entrance hall floor is lovely. Bar staff and reception were very helpful. Nice red wine and well kept beer. Breakfast was great.Really comfy bed and a really nice quilt.
Room was a little too warm.
Lovely staff , Pub on site for food and drink . Room small but clean and bed comfortable .
Breakfast system not explained or folllwed up so we didn’t get given any breakfast . Just told “you didn’t fill your form out “ Rooms need a refresh , stained carpets etc but good for price .
Good location. Good parking. Lovely old building. Nicely decorated room. Good-sized bathroom. Friendly staff/warm welcome. Lovely breakfast.
Not easy to spot the entrance in the dark and rain as the signage/entrance wasn’t well-lit. The bathroom was cold (it was a cold eve when we arrived). There’s a large towel rail/radiator in the bathroom but it wasn’t heated/working. However, there was plenty of hot water. Lots of choice for coffee and tea in room but you had to go down stairs to the bar to get milk when required, which wasn’t very convenient if you fancy a cuppa at silly o’clock in your jimjams.
Staff were very welcoming and the place had a lovely homely feel. Food was lovely. We enjoyed both breakfasts and dinners there. Would definitely stay again.
Lovely food, comfortable room and friendly staff
Great for parking and on site eating
Noise which appeared to Emirates from room next doir and seemed to be drain bubbling back
Lovely old property in a nice location. The room, bed and pillows were comfortable. In fact I could have brought the pillows back home! Ample towels of a good quality which is a nice change from other hotels. I was well looked after and being a single female traveller, this was much appreciated. Very attentive staff. I liked the fact I was given fresh milk for drinks in the room. I ate in the bar and the meal was lovely. Happy to recommend the hotel.
