Best Western Plus Milford Hotel

Convenient location and the price was good.

Food in the restaurant was not at all good.

The 2 single beds joined together but the quilt was extremely small for the size of the bed, the heating didn’t work so had to plug in an electric fire.also the tv was somehow connected to other room as was turning channels on its own.

Kim the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. It was a great location for a one night whilst attending a family function.

The receptionist was very helpful when I had a problem with the extortionate and frankly unnecessary parking fees on arrival at the hotel as an external company now controls the hotel car park.

There was no housekeeping on either Christmas Day or Boxing Day which resulted in no clean towels, the tea, coffee, water etc not refilled, used cups and glasses not washed, the bathroom uncleaned, the bed unmade and a complete lack of service or any level of interest from staff on reception.The room had one panel heater which I was required to turn on when I arrived in the room late at night. The temperature outside was minus zero. At 5.40am a thunderous sound was emitted from the vent in the main bedroom. When I enquired with the night porter what this noise was he said it was the hotels' air conditioning system.There was no heating at all in the bathroom, and with no external ventilation as the window could not be opened and was in an exceptionally poor state of repair, the bathroom was cold and steamed up very quickly.The shower head was blocked so water leaked from it rather than flowed. The bathroom tiles were extremely cold to walk on.

Locality to where we were going.Matts ability to juggle different roles & his exceptional customer service.

No-one on Reception when arriving, had to shout and then go to restaurant to get Matt. No bell!Car parking cost ? Why need to pay? Food not been fully checked before getting to table, was a little like fawlty towers not sure if Matt was the only staff member in the hotel doing reception. Bar and kitchen. Garlic bread not cooked correctly. Just grilled on a plate so the bottoms were stodgy and soggy & top crispy.Bacon and cheese burger (Milford burger) missing the bacon. Side of Coleslaw not available. Bedroom decor still needs to be updated. Underfloor heating in bathroom, had a nice bath.Shower poor pressure just dribbled at you. Bed, poor matress which autimatically threw both of us to the middle with a dip as deep asgrand canyon, felt like i needed a rope to get back on to the side of the bed.

Nice bathroom

Central heating not working so we have a small plug in panel heater and cold bathroom.Rooms are a bit tired but clean. Not worth as much as they charged

The hotel was warm, clean and comfortable. The staff were excellent very helpful and worked incredibly hard, they appeared to have multiple job roles! The dinner selection was a little limited but the food was good as was breakfast. We would definitely stay again.

Smell of smoke from bedsheets and pillows Fridge did not work.Expensive upgrade to executive room expected better.£5.99 to park car in a remote location at the hotel with its own parking is ridiculous.

Margaret who does everything there except cook waa fantastic. Kind happy and very informative, she couldn't have done anymore. Great food, really good.

Room was tired. Tv was a nightmare to get going, once it was it was ok.Bed was hard but ok.

The first rooms we were given had a lot of mould on the windows walls and the curtains, and stank of being damp and not fit for purpose

Excellent stay Mainly due to the staff Margaret front of house was exceptional!!! Friendly genuine nothing too much trouble went over and above to make our 1 night stay the best it could be!... shes a star!Food really nice but could do with more vegan options on the menu please, that said if you ask very accommodating but it would be nice to see options on the menu instead of by request.
