Handy for town location

Noisy room no 1 as right next door to reception, think it's more for disabled as sink low, but for one night ok

I didn't have breakfast, the site said that there was a restaurant but there isnt, there is a pub next door. The location was good

The room was very basic. I could not get the shower to a temperature that I could use, too hot, then could not turn the shower off so had to get 2 different staff members to try which they did in the end. Room was cold as electric radiator was off, could get it to work so had to get help again. The chair in the room was disgusting, goodness knows what was on that

Needs a clean.

Staff on arrival rude. Rooms not clean, sheets stained, shower gel empty, needs a full renovation.

This is a well situated hotel in a pretty waterside location. The hotel is across the road from the pretty waterside restaurant. Our sat nav sent us to a very seriously dodgey wrong side of the river dead end, not ideal. Lou the receptionist was absolutely amazing she talked us through the directions and actually went outside so she could see our van to help us get to her ! She really made a difference to the whole experience of staying in the hotel, exceptionally pleasant and helpful, a real star. The room was clean and comfortable and it was very quiet, perfect. We stayed across the road at the Village the next night as it had been booked for us, and I much preferred the Waterside. Give Lou a raise!

I liked everything about my stay staff were really helpful and the breakfast at the waterside pub was amazing staff there were brilliant

Bed comfy. Staff helpful

Room needs updating. Was a bit shabby. No plug In bathroom so couldn't have a bath. Paint chipped. Room smelt of smoking.

Shower wasn't working effectively

Location was easy to find. Restaurant building was OK and staff were chirpy.

Check in was slow as I assume staff were busy in the other building. Food OK. Room very basic and tired. Was told you had a secure place to store our bikes and that turned out to be our room!!

We had breakfast here and it was amazing, just what we needed after a week of hiking and camping in the lake district.

Good location

Room was very filthy, every surface was covered in dust, I mean every surface, even a meny on the table in the room. Light bulbs were missing in various lamps and Internet was very poor and kept disconnecting.

The staff were brilliant. Me and my partner only interacted with the two ladies at the reception desk, both were brilliant.

It was clean in nice place breakfast I had continental

The disabled room had a bath no matter how many rails I can’t get in a bath with hip replacement

Staff were friendly

shower was poor bathroom door kept sticking so was hard to open and close etcthick dust on top of furniture

hotel needs a freshen up

It served its purpose. The inn opposite was great.

Initially my 4 person room only had 3 beds. The 4th was a mattress on the floor. We asked to move and did.

Stayed at this hotel several times now I have enjoyed it each time. Breakfast is very good.

The only negative has been the bathroom facilities, a couple of times now the shower head has been damaged and doesn't stay in place making it difficult to shower.
