    • Beautiful location. Warm and friendly staff from as soon as we walked in. Room nicely decorated and bed very comfortable Breakfast was very good and lots of it Evening meal was also delicious and reasonable price for todays prices BBrill play area
    • Lovely place to stay. Clean and tidy, great location and atmosphere and very friendly staff and other guests.Fabulous bar and restaurant great food. The room was very comfortable and quiet with a comfortable bed.Good location for an early morning walk before breakfast was served.
    • We have stayed there several times going back 15 years. It is still well kept, friendly, good parking, good location. We use it as a base for visiting several National Trust houses & gardens in the area or day trip into Liverpool.

    Cons -

    • Nothing identified.
    • It didn't seem quite as affordable as in years past and cooked breakfast was only on weekend. The evening meals we ate there did not come up to what we remembered from pre-Covid visits--they seemed rather bland with reduced variety on the menu--but that was true of many of our experiences on this trip.
    • All good, really

The hotel was clean, modern and had the facilities that we needed. As it was a pub, it exceeded our expectations, the guest rooms being in a modern extension to the building. The food was good and handy parking available.

    All good, really

We loved everything about this place, it was exactly what we were looking for. The decor and ambiance seems just like it was back in the day. The rooms are all individually named for a local farm or location. Very clean. Anna makes an awesome cup of coffee! The pond in back has ducks in it. They have an outdoor patio that was wonderful along with a playground for children. 10 out of 10 would most definitely stay again!

Staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The room was a little dated but still comfortable Breakfast was nice ,we didn't spend much time in the hotel but it was clean , comfortable and we would definitely stay again

Spacious dining room and bar area. Rooms are pleasant, clean and fairly modern.

Car park was full when we arrived. Needed a new shower head holder in bathroom

The location and the old fashioned interior

The room was small, the restaurant staff were ok but the food wasn’t that good, not good value for money at all

Two of the guests had stayed 10 years ago and said the rooms were comfortable and breakfasts great. This year they returned and together with another couple had lunch prior to my evening party. All twelve guests were highly impressed with everything and want to stay again! Thank you.

Staff were great, drinks were a reasonable price, and the food in the restaurant was delicious.

A few rogue hairs, secluded location (25 min walk from the nearest train station), and quite expensive for what it is. Hot breakfast was only available at weekends. None of this would usually bother me too much, but at this price point everything has to be smack on or you get reviews like this.

Room was very comfortable and very clean ,

Breakfast was disgraceful, sub standard, rotten fruit, reheated bacon, nothing was fresh, croissants hard.

Room is good. Clean, well equipped, comfortable.Food - that's another story. There's a strange mentality about food and service here. It's as if the staff can't wait to finish, start cleaning up and shutting shop. There's a lack of quality in the air.I stayed here about 4 years ago and was left with the same feeling. There's just not enough emphasis on the actual customer needs.Very few establishments in the Warrington area get this right. There's a market for it if you up the game.
