we have stayed twice now, the first time we had a nicer room but both are good

Location, staff, facilities, everthing really

Bright and clean

You couldn’t use the gym, spa on the day you leave

Great spa hotel in country setting, very clean with decent restaurant and health club facilities. Rooms good size with heating and kettle. Nice pool area with beds to relax in. Bed was comfy in room also.

Not much to dislike restaurant was a bit pricy but food was good and had quality beers and wines. Staff attentive in restaurant.

Superior room type was spacious gym andPool very good. Breakfast was good and onsite restaurant was very good

As noted in other reviews sound proofing between rooms etc is not the beat but this is outwith hotel control now.

The windows in the room were old wooden windows and let a terrible draft through you could hear the wind coming through the windows and I closed the curtains to see if that kept the heat in but the radiator was underneath the window so it didn’t help the room felt cold due to this.

There was no clean towels in swimming pool area as told there would be so we had to go to spa reception in swimwear to ask for a towel to get dry!

Hotel and bar are very clean. Rooms ok

Spa facilities not so good

Clean rooms, spa and massage therapists. Breakfast when available.

The staff unfortunately were unfriendly. The locals in the pool and leisure facilities were hostile to hotel guests. The room heating was controlled by management and we had no control. This meant cold rooms at times. Poor value for money.

The restaurant and the gym were top class for UK standards.

Breakfast too late openings, poor choice of food, prohibitive prices.

Liked everything Lovely breakfast ,brilliant facilities included in price,sauna,jacuzzi,pool,steam room,gym, Nice spa also,this pay and book separately but I had a massage and it was amazing Staff helpful throughout my visit And the lady who done massage was brilliant

Event on so car park full. Fridge in room would helpStaying on a night there is a party/event can be noisy- Event guest opposite had a drunken loud conversation in corridor for 45 mins as 1 am

The area and the bar and restaurant

The remote for the tv didnt work so we were given 2 somethings worked on one remote.… some on the other remote also we couldn't turn it off so had to keep turning it off on the floor plug under the table which was very inconvenient to keep getting down on our knees to turn it off when you are in your late 60 s the duty manager knee about the problem because they had to do the same thing last week so why wasnt it sorted?

Helpful staff. Really nice facilities room is very large and very clean had no issues throughout my stay and intending on the stage again when the event takes place next year. I can see why they select this location for the event.

Absolutely nothing it was wonderful

The reception staff were nice the breakfast staff were rude & not attentive at all apart from a dark haired girl on Monday morning

My room was meant to be a superior deluxe / double but it was £50 more for the 2 nights stay than my colleagues standard double (shower wasn’t as good as his/ room wasn’t as nice nor the bed or any of the room in fact my room was smaller,, apparently my view was much nicer (a courtyard ??‍♂️) which made it more expensive which is a joke & I won’t be booking anymore superior rooms if that’s how it’s judged

The staff were excellent. Extremely friendly and caring towards us arriving late and the restaurant staff were wonderful. All whilst there was a big event at the hotel they never made us feel like we weren’t important enough.

The parking was limited as a result of the event.

Lovely surroundings ,simple book in.The room lovely clean and spacious . I asked for a quiet room ,I’m not sure if this was actioned, but the room I had was so quiet and peaceful There was a private party downstairs and I did not hear a thing. A peaceful night away from home is my reason for staying at a health spa(can I say noisy air con is common in a lot of hotels I have stayed in,this was definitely an exception). All facilities were available as advertised and easily accessible no fuss,no pre booking time slots,just constant access up until 8 pm to pool, jacuzzi, steam room with lockers (take a pound coin or shopping trolley coin) There is a lovely spa room with lots of treatments, this is prebook and chargeable. The breakfast was lovely,lots of choice ,full English,juice,cereal (I had to prepay on arrival for breakfast, as, it was not an option to include on booking .com) All the staff were really helpful and all facilities clearly marked.Bar and restaurant upstairs,I never ate there but meals looked nice,I had a drink at the bar,very comfortable as a solo traveller to sit alone,nice couch to sit on Loved this place and will go back

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff in the restaurant were lovely especially Karen who looked after us during our visit. The food was amazing too.

LocationPool and jacuzziBreakfast

The 10:30 checkout, we felt rushed to get up have breakfast and also pack and think it ought to be at least 11am. A lot of other hotels we have stayed in have allowed us to use the pool again in the morning even when we have just checked out. We felt disappointed that this was not possible esp as we were visiting on my birthday.The bathroom bin had rubbish in from previous guests, wasn’t pleased that it had not been checked/emptied.

Rrom was spacious and clean

Ordered room service beef and ham sandwiches and soup. After waiting over an hour phoned to ask where it was as was all falling asleep. Man who answered the phone sounded very flustered and annoyed and said im busy running around answering phones and doing other stuff. So insaod cancel the order then and he said no im jalfway thorugh making them so il send them when they done. Food eventually arrived. Cheese instwad of beef and soup looked like congealed gunk. Breakfast was a disaster no staff no food no juices constantly waiting for stuff.

Bed was comfortable.

The spa was fully booked so you couldn't use the facilities and there was no soap in the rooms. It was a bit too pricey but did not deliver what was expected like spa facilities etc.
