Hostel really great place to stay. Was a noisy pub nearby so depending on where room you stay in (and if a weekend), worth keeping windows shut at night

Location was great

Water in the shower didn't drain which was pretty gross. Also showered twice and in one of the days there was not hot water. Also sink in the toilet itself was uncomfortable.

Really pleasant chilled atmosphere, fully equipped kitchen and entertainment. Location is brilliant would definitely recommend and the staff go above and beyond.

I had a double room with en-suite and it was lovely. The room and the bathroom was immaculate and the whole place is decorated lovely. It has a great vibe. Jimmy was very friendly and helpful especially as I was a very late check in. We Particularly loved the new football table they have which was great for me and my son, it’s in the perfect location close to all amenities.

The bed was a bit uncomfy

The Ocean Backpackers is in a good central location and offers clean basic accommodation. The communal lounge and kitchen were great. Parking at Roper St is reasonable and close by and the communication from the accommodation is clear and easy to check in.

Being a central location there’s obviously a bit of noise and it’s next to a church with early bells ringing but can’t say it was a problem. It’s good value for money and rooms are ok for that level.

Comfortable bed, clean and tidy room. Friendly staff at reception. Good kitchen facilities and lounge area.

It was really clean and tidy, nice decor, lovely staff, excellent price and location, my children’s first stay in a hostel and they thoroughly enjoyed it!

my onward journey required a train at 18.00 pm and it was not possible to leave my bag for the day (collect at 16.30pm ) which caused an inconvenience. I have other experience that has been more accommodating to guests onward journeys.

Clean, great location & staff very friendly & helpful

Jimmy, Ross,Mona and Alex are a great team that take real pride in the hostel. Friendly with each other and the guests they keep the place clean and spotless. Very responsive to any concerns and look to resolve immediately. I had a lovely stay in ilfracombe and felt very comfortable at the hostel. I really recommend a visit. Great place. .

Absolutely wonderful place to stay in Ilfracombe , very friendly, happy host who provided us with lots of info n welcoming smile . we have had beautiful , specious en-suite room with sea view , fresh decor made us feeling very welcomed , downstairs facilities to chill out and make own food(well equipped ) . WiFi worked brilliantly no faults . Ocean backpackers is located in the heart of town - very closed to all attractions . Very enjoyable short break .Def recommended ?? would book back again
