Pros +
- The position of Hotel is just the best view of Fowey. We have stayed here twice this year! We had a rear superior in room last time and this visit had a superior sea view room. Both were very roomy and well appointed. The bathrooms are very small we preferred rear room bathroom as had double sinks and just a shower and was more roomy than sea view room bathroom. We paid extra to park at hotel. We ate each night in Fowey as have many places to eat for all tastes. Sam’s is an excellent fish restaurant.
- Lovely hotel with lots of charm. Very friendly staff and rooms were fantastic.
- Views were beautiful. It was clean and comfortable with luxurious touches.
Cons -
- The bathroom in superior sea view room was very small I’m glad that my husband and myself are slim as if not would have been a struggle to use the loo!! Not much room at all ! The loo roll holder gets in way!
- Was some noise at night - possibly from radiators.
- The only small disappointment was that the bath’s tub stopper didn’t work, so I was unfortunately unable to take a bath during my stay. Also, the room was a little bit cold. However, these were minor issues and did not take away from what was otherwise a fantastic experience.

It was a last-minute booking, and I honestly couldn’t have hoped for a better place. I had a wonderful stay at this superb hotel in Fowey. Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The view was truly exceptional — waking up to such beautiful scenery each day was a real highlight of my trip. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. A very special thank you to Lucy, who went above and beyond to help me find a taxi on the 1st of January when none were available. Her effort and kindness were truly appreciated. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Fowey!

Lovely staff , comfortable and beautiful location
Parking not included
Fantastic place, lovely staff, beautiful room
Room was a little hot perhaps
Fantastic position overlooking the estuary
No facilities like a spa pool or gym
Well-presented, clean hotel with excellent staff in a really good location.
I thought charging £12.50 per day to park a car was cheeky considering we had already paid to stay there.
We had a lovely four night stay to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary. What a lovely place to stay! Staff were warm and welcoming, the views from the hotel, wow! Our room was cosy with a beautiful view across the harbour to Polruan. We enjoyed the continental breakfast and evening meals and of course the beautiful view from the restaurant. A lovely place to stay. Will recommend to friends.
Everybody who worked there was so lovely. The room was clean and the view was incredible. A peaceful getaway for mum & i and the location was perfect. So easy to get into town. We loved looking at the view whilst we ate breakfast every morning.
Finding the car park was always a bit tricky and parking could sometimes be even trickier!
Very nice location overseeing the estuary, close to the town centre. Good comfortable room, and very helpful and friendly staff. Nice continental breakfast provided. Parking has to be pre-arranged, but proved to be a very convenient option.
Absolutely beautiful location and accommodation. Staff were lovely
Nothing to do with the hotel but the town is deserted in Winter and hardly anything is open during the week
All the staff were exceptionally attentive and responsive Room was spacious , bathroom extremely well appointed and roomyView from room brilliant
Location was lovely. Beautiful views. Staff were kind and warm, welcoming. Food and drinks lovely.
Felt slightly misguided regarding the breakfast, paid £725 for 3 nights including breakfast and told on arrival that it’s an extra £10 for an enhanced breakfast. This was disappointing as expected a full inclusive breakfast to be included. Again, had to pay a lot of money for parking, one would expect parking to be included in the price of the hotel as it was expensive.
Location and room overlooking the estuary
The upselling of breakfast options and car parking. The price should be the price at this standard of hotel. Felt a bit Ryan air ..and will cheapen the brand.
The food was delicious, the hotel was very clean, the location was excellent, our room had a beautiful view, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful
The location was good as always as were the staff and the breakfast. The superior type room was lovely for its views and size
When making the booking, we had not noticed there was a surcharge for cooked breakfast which is unusual in England. The room had a noticeable damp problem which we reported and the staff said they would fix. However, there was no reduction to the room rate as compensation. However, we did get one reduction in the cooked breakfast surcharge
A wonderful English riviera style hotel, full of period charm, exceedingly comfortable, staff grear, in a great location with a lovely breakfast.
Nothing to dislike really! Visitors should not that breakfast included does not include the cooked breakfast options, however we thoroughly enjoyed the continental options which were many and varied!
lovely hotel, great location
finding it is a bit tricky as satnav takes you to the front of the hotel rather than the car park- a postcode for the car park entrance would help
Great location, beautiful rooms, fantastic view.
