Pros +
- Superior room, amazing food and service. Beautiful outlook. Restaurant fantastic.
- A wonderful two night stay in the updated Quay House Hotel. Everything was exceptional, with excellent attentive service from the staff. The quality of food served in the newly refurbished restaurant must be commended and was much enjoyed.
- Dog friendly, and helpful, easy, not over complicated staff.
Cons -
- Long walk from car park. Could be difficult for some. Can stop to drop bags but not ideal.
- That we couldn’t stay longer!
- It was extremely expensive (New Year’s week so prices far higher than usual probably) though we knew this in advance. We had a lovely holiday which we needed. But at the end of the week at final checkout I was surprised to see a bar drink and snack had been added to our bill that we didn’t have; queried it and the receptionist removed it without fuss, but it left a slightly bad taste.

We were upgraded on arrival to a beautiful room with superb views of the river and Polruan - quite magical at night when the lights came on. Every comfort was provided in the room and the en suite bathroom was stunning with fab White Company toiletries. Breakfast was fab and lots of it! All the staff - both on reception and in the restaurant were super friendly and v helpful.
That we couldn’t stay longer!
Lovely room with nice views, evening meal was nice and breakfast was lovely.
Great location at water’s edge. Very quiet yet central location in quaint little town. Room was tastefully furnished and peaceful. Felt very comfortable and secure. Excellent shower. Nice to eat breakfast looking out at the waterfront. Accommodating staff. Absolutely beautiful area for long walks, exploring coastline and up-river inland. We stayed in late December / early January with somewhat variable weather but hotel always warm.

Excellent breakfast, great choice with a stunning view.Very helpful receptionist, answering my questions.Lovely big bathroom with great size bath - perfect.Bed and linen where extremely comfortable.
Breakfast was very good quality.Perfect location. All staff incredibly friendly. Very dog friendly (as opposed to dog tolerant)
Bed wasn’t as comfortable as expected.
The staff were lovely. Even though they were not providing a full room change service due to Christmas, we didn't go without any amenities. Perfect location and lovely spacious room!
We would have liked a bed change, however as mentioned we completely understood as it was Christmas time, staff were off!
Lovely room, lovely location, friendly staff, great decor.
Value for money, chic, very clean
No chair in room,
We had excellent service from the point of check in. We had breakfast and dinner both really good food and with the best service. Everything exceeded our expectations. We would all happily book again and recommend.
The rooms were quite warm for us, but we were able to open windows
Comfy bed, friendly staff and grand breakfast.

Room was lovely. Bathroom was lovely. Bed was comfy.
Staff were not that clued up. Didn't seem to know what to do!We were both poorly during the night, but all our concerns were dismissed.
Clean, comfortable hotel and friendly staff.Great location.Excellent breakfast Great value for money
Fantastic location, gorgeous rooms, polite and helpful staff
Everything was perfect - the location and the hotel itself were ideal for a few days break in fowey. The room was small but adequate and nicely furnished ( could’ve done with a small chair) - the bed comfy. Liked having the option of a bath too. The restaurant was lovely and overlooked the river and the terrace was a sun trap even in October! The bar area was nice although advertised as a lounge which we would have preferred as we had no where to sit in our room. However this was also newly refurbished and great for a drink in the evening.
Nothing other than would’ve liked a comfy lounge area to sit after going off for a walk.
