Lovely, cosy apartment for two with a view of the lake, everything you need from towels to kitchen utensils etc. Nice big and peaceful area on site, lots of space for children to play and walk around.

Mixed feelings with this. The actual property itself was lovely. However, be aware it is completely self catered, even toilet rolls. But unfortunately they only left us half a toilet roll on arrival to get us started, which was a little tight in my opinion and not overly helpful to set us off. Upon arrival we had no hot water or wifi, had to call maintenance to come and waited two hours. No wifi for our specific room due to previous water damage, maintenance told us to connect to the room downstairs which became slow when guests arrived and started using it. Swimming pool/activity booking system needs to change, minimal information on the app and says to just ring up guest services for everything. The swimming pool was booked up before we had even arrived (had to wait every time to see if anyone didn’t turn up to then be able to use it). The sauna was out of service for the entire time we were there, which isn’t great when the pool is already full of children. Minimal water sports available, presumably because of the time of year, however, this is not stated on the website nor the app. Beach club cafe also not available, presumably for the same reason.

I got such a good deal. I was really impressed with the apartment for what I paid.

I didn't like the fact that there wasn't very many Pool times so I didn't end up using the leisure facilities at all. And there was no breakfast, so that was a bit of a bummer

The property itself is as very nice. We did however have issues with the main bathroom being unusable du to a strong ammonia smell that just increased over the time we stayed. As that bathroom was out of bounds we all had to use the en suite in my room which leaked water in the lounge area brought the ceiling when used. Very excited to use the sauna but that was a waterlogged and with leaks too. Despite showing videos of water dripping through the lounge ceiling and the state of the sauna and garden area. Nothing has been done.

The outside lights were not working. Completely rusted and water damaged. As was the sauna. The floor was lifting, damp all down the inside walls and puddles of water in there.Unusable. The staff on reception listened to my concerns but once we arrived home no accountability was accepted. Or stay was £400 & no compensation was offered and in fact they haven’t even been directly in touch. They told me to go through booking. I did and received £41 credit. Totally ridiculous. This was a gesture on booking.coms part. Just terrible.

The property was beautifully presented we loved how the dining table was set up with the plates etc for when we arrived. The lodge was very comfortable and warm throughout

Seeing as the lodge held 8 there weren’t very big pans to use for cooking plus not many utensils in the drawers etc. could have done with more and a bigger pan to cook on.

Very clean and comfortable apartment. Staff were great and location is good for exploring Cornwall.

We liked that all the amenities were provided albeit we had to kind of look for it more closely as the washing up liquid and sponger were wrapped in the dish towel. It was a nice open space and we had a balcony with a brilliant view! A nice stroll around the land in the early mornings was great! Enjoyed the swimming pool and gym (even though they were a bit small).

Perhaps some disposable slippers for the floor would be nice as the floor was catching dust and first quick and our feet were getting dirty and cold walking around the house. There was no shampoo, conditioner, body wash and the soap was just a small bar so maybe some toiletries would’ve been nice.

The lodge it's self was amzing and very comfy. The only thing was that the lights at night around the lodge or going up the stairs to the hot tub wasn't lite up as they knew there was a problem and was waiting for an electrician before we was allocated that lodge so they should of really placed us in a different one. There is space as well for a large park to be built on the site which I think is required for the little ones as there isn't anything else gor them to do.

The lakeside apartment was beautiful. The rooms were warm, the bathroom wonderful, the bed and sofa very comfortable. Room had a chromecast so we could watch whatever we wanted. Even though it was winter and the weather was stormy we had a really relaxing time. Loved watching the Ducks, Geese and Moorhens swim up to our veranda. The food in the restaurant was delicious with large portions. Staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.

I honestly can't think of anything negative to say. It was a perfect short break and I can't think of anything missing.

The place was much nicer than I expected for the price. Really spacious, and comfortable. The bath was incredibly deep and the shower was super fancy. Plus a fully equipped kitchen. The staff were really helpful and the place was very clean.

The location was a little random, and the shop closed fairly early so if arriving late not much available.

The size was great for all of us

Heating was a problem no heating in the one room and large room took some time to heat up

Lovely warm hot tub on arrival, clean, presentable.A doggy welcome pack for our dogs.It felt very welcoming for both us and the dogs

It would’ve been nice to have hooks for our coats and a mat to dry our feet after being on a walk.

Spacious lodge. Nice and quiet. Restaurant on site was lovely. Pool was lovely with little area for babies

The house was not fully clean on arrival - dirty floors. towels, sheets, and toilets. No basic amenities in the lodge which would have been good to know, no soap in kitchen for example.

Ideal place in which to get to places that we wanted to visit .very nice clean barn ,good for dogs .

Staff were approachable and displayed a high level of professional conduct. A beautiful location, the property presented in extremely good condition, a clean and safety space to stay. Retallack Resport = Rest and Relaxation. It has an indoor pool, which is clean and well monitored. Retallack has a little something for everyone. It is engaging with lots of activities for the little ones, water sports, and a spa and an onsite shop. We will certainly be back.

Good location and good size property but it was tired and needed an update.

Bedding on one bed was dirty and needed changing on the first night. None of the tvs worked and although the team tried to fix they couldn't. Rooms and overall facilities in our property were tired. Fridge had shelves missing etc. We visited 10 years ago and nothing has changed, property's need work but a premium is still being charged.
