    Cons -

    • Building outside needs renovations.
    • Loved it all we were in room 221, it was a nice room with a sea view, the only issues we had was the window, we had wind blowing though and a whistling sound, other than that all good, staff were great loved it all
    • Room had a very old musty smell, just like the entire hotel. Everything is extremely old and needs a serious upgrade, the elevator was so old and worn down that I rather walk several flights of stairs any day. The shower curtain bar was extremely rusty and clearly needed a replacing years ago. I love an old hotel, But these places need to be refurbished, painted and kept clean, the carpet on the stairs and in the hallways looked like they haven't had a proper clean in years. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone, certainly not at the price I paid which is £87 for a night

It was super clean. Good selection of tea, coffee, biscuits and great that there was take away hot drink cups and water. Love that they had a tissue box. Carpets were lovely and clean.....I was worried and took my slippers but didn't need them.

The shower rail could have done with updating but this didn't spoil it at all

The staff were friendly, thoughtful and welcoming.

Our shower had very little water pressure which was a shame!

Great location, really nice staff, comfy, good room view, great food.

Had an issue with the water one evening turning a different colour and the toilet seat broke. This was reported to maintenance.

Very nice location , as in Main Street and close to facilities. Younger members of staff very helpful.

Having to pay £10 a day for car parking in the hotel grounds.Breakfast was under cooked (Bacon)Being rushed out of our room on the final day despite being an hour early from advertised check out time, told it was a staff training day and the hotel was closing at 11am when two cleaners knocked on the room door at 0945 and asked us to leave, got down stairs and asked if breakfast was still on, only to be told they were unsure, I complained about being treated like I was being evicted, one staff member agreed to make us some breakfas, original time of breakfast finishing is 11am, so we had an hour to spare. Finished breakfast around 1030am only to be harassed again and asked when I was leaving, my partner had gone to the ladies room and I was waiting for her return, told the member of staff this, only for her to then shout it across reception informing other members of staff my intentions, felt very unwanted and in the way, despite still having 15 minutes until closing.I’m hoping the staff training day has taught them how to treat guests and a few manners. The whole hotel could do with decorating, couldn’t open the windows in the hotel room as they were to stiff.

    Just alright

Place was dated, Needs money spent, place like a rabbit warren easy to get lost, Should not be told turn your shower off its coming through the ceiling into the Bar. Shower failed to drain away had to stand in waste water.

The quality of room was excellent with a fantastic view. The parking was good and despite my very large vehicle the staff were able to accommodate it.

    Nothing really.

    8JamesPosted on: 1-4-2026

Great location and views. The breakfast was of high quality and the staff in the restaurant were excellent.

Very tired corridors and rooms... A lot of it could be fixed easily, so it's a pity
