The Broadway Hotel

Central location , friendly staff and nice food.

I was aware I'd booked a single room but it was compact. Very clean and had everything you needed though.

Woman on the front desk was nice. Was a goodLocation for what we needed.

The breakfast that was included was just cereal not the cooked breakfast they advertise. Rooms were dusty and dirty. Walls are very thin. Windows are single glazed and they turn heating off through the night. Shower curtain was mucky. Bathroom poorly designed so water goes all over the floor. Bed is very soft, not great for your back. Skirting boards look like they haven’t been wiped in a long time.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating

The toilet in the room had tape on it to say it was clean, however when I lifted the lid there was an unflushed faeces in the bowl.The food was below average & needs improvement.

Location was great. Hotel staff were relaxed and friendly, and very helpful. Liked having a coffee machine in the room, hot chocolate and a range of teas. Vegan breakfast was great.

The room lock on the door needing some coaxing to work and the tap dripped slightly even after taps switched off (room 111). Everything else was excellent

Quirkiness of the property - I would describe it as charming.The lift is very unique as well

The room was quite noisy being on the main road - it was really warm too even though we turned the radiator right down and didn’t want open the windows as it would have been even noisier

Great value, good food and everything we needed - visiting for a 50th birthday party nearby! Would highly recommend!

Room was tiny. Lack of plug sockets. Couldn’t get hot water from the shower. shower was over bath, but I already guessed this from the photos.

Bed was comfy. Staff were friendly. Good breakfast.

We could hear the traffic on the road. Room was a little bit dusty in places.

Just spent one night here. Comfortable room and bed. The breakfast was really good and would happily stay here again.

Would like control of the lights from both sides of the bed.

Location, free parking, bar and restaurant was very good, room was clean and shower was powerful. complimentary tea and coffee in the room.

The bed was comfortable but small for two people, the radiator was on and couldn't be adjusted so quiet warm during the night.

Very close to where we needed to be Was nice and warm in the room despite the windows being loose and we had to put the sachets of tea bags in the gaps to stop them rattling in the wind Fantastic hot water pressure

Lift is turned off at 8 pm til 8 am ,so as like me I'm of limited mobility which means I can't climb stairs ,and we had to wait for someone to turn the lift on ,and was told that the lift was for cleaning staff but not really for people staying there . I was also put on the top floor which meant if there was anything to happen I would be stuck .it says it's disabled accessible which it isn't because the only way into hotel in by front or night entrance,I was told I could go via the function room door but how can I when it's closed at night .

Breakfast was included and the selection was good. There were two EV chargers in car park which was helpful as we had travelled 150 miles in our electric car. The hotel is close to the centre so we could explore easily.

The lift was broken. The room never got dark as the blinds weren't effective. The room also had no air conditioning which would have been helpful during the summer. The bed mattress was also very soft.

Beer delivery at 4.3pam was incredibly noisy .. advertise car park but good luck getting a space as it has no parking controls so the whole town use it for free

We liked most things about the Broadway, the position food and staff all lovely and helpful
