    Pros +

    • The pub had a lovely friendly vibe, great food! I had chicken pie and mash, was yummy :-) I will be back!
    • Nice little pub, clean room and got a good night's sleep
    • it is a pub, if you want to watch sports - this place is wonderful! There are locals coming frequently to this place and you will quickly get friends :-)!

    Cons -

    • The single bed was a bit hard :-(
    • Window blinds were missing, and room is very hot during the summer. They have fan in the room, but it was not very helpful.
    • All was good.

    All was good.

Beautiful old country pub, fantastic location, fantastic staff, fantastic food, would highly recommend.

Tucked away in a quiet place, with fields all around. Good parking. The staff who helped for our check was very nice and helpful and although we did not book breakfast as we had to book for it, he said we could ordered it as other guests booked it. But in the end we decided not too as it was too early. And there were coffee tea and biscuits in the room.

The beds were not the most comfortable as the mattress was rather thin. Bathroom super small with no window.

Very convenient for Luton airport. Very good food on pub. Nearby parking excellent

Room right above outside tables of the pub so was very noisy when wanting to sleep at 10pm and was so hot we couldn't close the windows.

Quiet location, thank you to staff and owner to allow me to work in the bar all morning while waiting for a flight. Cheap and wholesome breakfast and evening meal.

No table in room (just a foot stool). I think there could be room for a bedside table beside each bed.

The location was in a lovely little village and the food in the pub connected to the hotel was excellent and extremely good value

The locals sit outside under the heated lamps till 2.30am frequently and on another night 2 or 3 cars parked in the car park with their music blearing and the doors wide open at 5am.The rooms are quite small and the bathroom it tiny, it is on for a night or two but would not recommend for linger than that. You need a car if staying here as it is no where near public transport and any shops, resurants etc are a mile away

    Breakfast was good

A quaint pub, but beds were uncomfortable, shower was terrible and wouldn't stay on warm fluctuated between cool and boiling.Pub was noisy with karaoke going till late.

I love the age of the hotel, it had low ceilings and beams, the bar area was relaxed and comfortable, they had karaoke on the Friday night. I found all the staff were friendly and chatty, the chef, kevin, especially so. His evening meals and breakfasts were tasty and plentiful. The rooms were small and comfy, with tea and coffee facilities with a small shower room

The bath towels were a little small. There were also no long mirrors in any of our groups' rooms,

The staff were so friendly, our room was small but lovely, clean and comfy. Value for money.

    Rooms basic but very clean

    7AdamPosted on: 4-20-2025

Both the dinner and breakfast were good quality and reasonably priced. All the staff were very friendly and everything seemed pretty clean. There was live music in the evening in the bar which was actually pretty good.

The room was quite small and the beds weren't the most comfortable.

    Quiet country pub, good food

    Room too small, cramped en-suite

    6SuzannePosted on: 3-31-2025

Lovely pub and quiet location Plenty of parking

    7JudithPosted on: 3-28-2025

A great little pub tucked away at the edge of a villagegreen. Idyllic!Parking was plentiful, welcome and check in were good.Shower was great, and plenty of towels. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe.

The room was very small, and the walls were thin, so every sound was audible!

The bar stuff who worked the night i stayed at the Hotel was very professional. He was welcoming and kind and patient. He stands out and so as your receptionist. This two staffs have gone out their way to male me deal special. I didn't catch their names but I stayed in your hoten on the night of the 25/03/25 . It's staffs like them that makes tourisum and hospitality look good. If I was the owner, I wouldn't want to loose both STAR STUFF. They both need a pay rise. Regards, Elsie Muckley

I didn't like the squeaky floor and how rooms are so close to one another. The toilet door downstairs in the bar area slams hard right under my head and people having conversations can be heard clearly. The last thing I would like to hear in people's conversations after a long day. I know King William in an old victorian house but, it would be nice to put in new floors.

Good parking. Separate entrance to accommodation. Comfortable single beds. Quiet location.

No downstairs rooms were available and so as a disabled visitor, I struggled with the stairs.
