Refund.

The one dog per room policy wasn't explained , even though I'd wriiten and booked 2 dogs (£35 each) for the night. On arrival we were asked by a very lovely receptionist, who hadn't noticed the dog request , to ask Booking .com to cancel the room ! A long journey could have been avoided. We obviously didnt experience the facilities so cannot comment .

The room was super clean, the beds comfortable and the room was a good size. The staff were really helpful and the bar cozy. It was a shame we spent so little time there or got to see the building in daylight as it looked impressive, nor did we try any food there due to late arrival, we ate on route, and early flight, but the food looked and smelt fabulous as it came through the bar.

We stayed there a lot of times, it’s a lovely place and lots of parking, handy for the airport

The lift was out of use and a week later it was still out of use, no hot water !!

A beautiful old property in lovely grounds with comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. Very well located for Gatwick Airport

I really object to paying for parking especially when there are large grounds and no other way of reaching the hotel

We loved the location, the beautiful building, huge comfortable bed & soft towels & breakfast.

I'm unable to eat dairy & gluten but there were limited options for me.

Location, room and breakfast were great.

On arrival we were told we had to pay £100 deposit, which was unexpected, and that it would be refunded next day. On check-out we were told it may take 3 to 10 days to be refunded. No explanations given. When we got the refund, we found we had paid more than expected for our stay. Phoned reception and were told we had been charged £10 for 'complimentary' parking. We were too fed up to argue....

Beautiful hotel. In the countryside but very close to Gatwick.Restaurant and bar were good and the food was excellent.Really friendly and helpful staff.

More powerful car chargers would be beneficial.

Evening dinner was fine although the bar was quiet and lacked atmosphere. Location to Gatwick Airport was good for our holiday.

Only thing to say is the car park was a little rough which was only a problem due to the bad weather at the time.

Quiet rural location, excellent staff, good room with a comfortable bed. Amazing option for a gluten free person.

No hot water for a shower in the morning before we were flying.

Staff were pleasant.

No working lift, room. Was boiling hot. No hot and water and lots of noise.

Did not have breakfast or dinner. The room was nice but very small bathroom and windows overlooking the garden. The windows also could not open very far and it was very warm in the room. Would have really loved to open the windows fully.

The very small windows and small bathroom. No minibar available, would have been a good addition. Old fashioned telephone did not work until next morning.

Location is beautiful and the building itself is stunning. Room was a good size

Head of bed in line with door. This meant could hear all activity outside. Room very near to reception so was woken very early by voices and someone hoovering!

No hot water boiler issues hotel gave a free breakfast for inconvenience.

A beautiful old building in a wonderful secluded setting but only 10 minutes from Gatwick Airport.Room large, clean and with all necessary facilities.All staff very polite and helpful.

Room cold on arrival but soon warmed up after speaking to Reception staff who were very helpful.

Lovely room and location. Booked a function there and really liked the orangery room. Louise the events organiser was lovely and really helpful

The boiler broke so there was no hot water for showers in the morning

Close convenient location to Gatwick airport, impressive value for money and exceptional cleanliness of room.

Unfortunately on this occasion the elevator was unserviceable which was a mild inconvenience.
