Location
Our room was on the ground floor. Small and dark. Had to have curtains closed for any privacy !
A smooth and unfussy welcome. No problem turning the restaurant music down when I explained two of our party were a little hard of hearing. Excellent food and (of course) wine. Quiet comfortable room, with a bath. Patient and attentive staff.
Twin beds.
A very nice welcome and wine taste, comfortable and well-appointed room, delicious dinner in the restaurant which was well priced.
Lovely location
Could hear noises from other rooms such as talking snoring TV etc. No sound proofing
Big room, comfortable and well presented. Was a little musty but overall very clean (They allow dogs and I think it's very hard to get that erm canine smell out)Good flavoursome coffee pods :) very good staff interaction. helpful friendly and polite.Stayed and had meal in their restaurant which was exceptionally good.Their wine is also very good :)
we were on the ground floor and some net curtains would've been niceAPart from that nothing to compalin about great place!
Exceeded my expectations as a Canadian visiting the UK. Room was excellent. Nice breakfast, convenient parking, friendly staff.
Beautiful location
My room was near the entrance and the kitchen. Very noisy till late at night and then early in the morning.
Staff were lovely and went out of their way to make you feel welcome - we couldn't book onto a tour of the vineyard but ate (and tried the wines) at the Library and the waitering staff were hugely knowledgeble and just really lovely. The food and wine were also delicious.
Price of the hotel was a bit steep considering - we paid nearly £200 for a night in a double room and although everything was fine, it wasn't anything special (but to reiterate, the Library restaurant and all staff were lovely - I just think the room is about £50 overpriced).
Great location, great food and staff
It was very hot day and lack of air conditioning can be felt
Wine. Setting. Views
Beautiful surroundings...very helpful and friendly staff...comfortable and pleasant room. if difficult to sleep because of hot temperature in room, helped by fan. Lovely dining room and tables outside with vineland views.
Could have had more vegan/vegetarian choices. Quite expensive. The rooms were £820.00 for 4 people for 2 nights. On top were 2 dinners with wine for 2 adults and 2 children which amounted to well over £300.00 for 2 nights...perhaps a discount for hotel guests.?
Vineyard views lovely. Hotel comfortable and clean. Staff very helpful and food lovely.Train ride and indoor wine tasting both very interesting and good value.Farm produce and gift shop both very nice.
Our only disappointment was slow service at breakfast and evening meal, to which we did address at the time .
Location and facilities. Clean and tidy and very relaxed atmosphere.
No aircon which increasingly feels like a necessity in the UK and especially for newly kitted out hotels.
location, nature, view, staff, clean
food in all restaurants
Lovely location, ground floor room perfect with dog. Lovely dinner in evening
Bed was vv hard and not comfortable.Breakfast was disappointing as scrambled eggs was Luke warm and very dry.
Exceptional location, beautiful scenery and great spaces to enjoy it.
Change the brand of veggie sausages at breakfast - they are horrible!
Beautiful wine estate and well located rooms
We were a bit disappointed by the lack of toiletries and dressing gowns or slippers
Very Convenient for the vineyard tour and shop
The room was very warm with no air con Had a fan but still very warm
