With stunning views from the edge of Galloway Cliffs, Portpatrick Hotel offers a garden, modern rooms. Rooms at the Portpatrick include a private bathroom, along with free Wi-Fi and a TV. Tea/coffee facilities are provided, along with a hairdryer for guests. Modern and traditional cuisine is served in the hotel’s spacious, elegant dining room. The cozy lounge bar includes a patio area, while some nights feature live entertainment. Logan Botanic Gardens are a 25-minute drive away and the beautiful Culzean Castle can be reached in less than 90 minutes by car. The pretty fishing village of Portpatrick is located below the hotel, along the coast. Loch Ryan is 15 minutes away by car, and Glenluce Abbey is a 30-minute drive away. You can go bird watching and fishing nearby.

- What a splendid hotel this is. Take your breath away stunning. And what a location! And lovely staff. One of the best views imaginable. Big comfortable room with good bathroom .great breakfast. Wi Fi worked. Plenty of free parking. Would definitely stay again. And amazing value for money.
- Breakfast was good as was our dinner, although the dinner choices while fine were not plentiful in choice.
Cons -
- The evening meal needs to be greatly improved. Even if you have taken the half board offer you expect value for your twenty five pounds allowance and this was not value for money. The portions of fish or meat were a joke. We were told there was a new chef so gave them the benefit of the doubt but hope that the management take notice of this review and improve things.
- The catering staff were great, however they were defiantly under staffed and had to work their socks off with we suspected very little management support on our stay. One member of staffed apologised for poor service and we asked her not to worry, it was not poor, we were delighted with her service, ourselves and other guests actually felt sorry for her.
