- Location was good
Cons -
- The hot chocolate in the bar was awful
- Main entrance was covered in cigarette ash and folks smoking, there should be a separate smoking area. Breakfast finished at 10am which we missed by 10 mins as we were under the assumption it was 10:30am. We weren’t notified of this when checking in.
- Room, bed and bathroom very nice but pillows hard, slept on small tartan cushion which was fine ..Breakfast sadly not up to scratch, staff serving were lovely, but very basic breakfast and very pale sausages, all luke warm, ..coffee excellent .

No bedside sockets except 1 which was for the fridge and most of the lights don't work
Was a lovely place only issue was when arrived room had not been cleaned properly but they soon moved us no isssue
Just the issue when first arrived room not cleaned properly
The young man in the dining room. He was very welcoming and helpful. Good choice for breakfast
Car park charge - I’ve never had to pay for an hotel car park before.. while hotel was very clean it was tired looking especially the reception area
Good breakfast, very good location for touring.
The reception staff could have been more attentive
We never used the room on the third floor. We should have been given some form of monetary compensat
We booked two adjoining rooms and were given two rooms two floors apart!
Location is great. Staff very helpful especially Meghan at reception who dealt with a room change request very quickly. Watched the sun setting over Arran from our Seaview room. Great big TV in the room and the beds were really comfortable. Staff at the bar were very friendly and efficient too. Will definitely return.
Only one chair in the room, no air con.
Room view was exceptional.
Room safe didn’t work. Manager on duty was not flexible with check in time, although this may not have been unreasonable.
Great value for money breakfast was spot on and a 2min walk into town, car park lovely bar and seating area
Good
The windows (seals) are in a poor state of repair therefore the seagulls nesting on the roof above reception were very very loud from early in the morning.
Complimentary drink.
Staff very helpful, room clean and comfy bed.
Location
Shabby bedroom, empty shower gel, noisy room, fire doors banging 4am - 5am and other noise. ? Cleaning. Had to pay for parking. Breakfast one price 17.95 even if only continental wanted.
Great location easy parking near shops and bars great value
The staff in the reception were an excellent help and really went the extra mile to assist us with a sudden health emergency. The location of the hotel is excellent.
Nice surroundings and atmosphere around the bar area
The breakfast was very cold and food was dried out definitely not value for money
Breakfast was great you could ask what you wanted and what you didn't .All staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble
I would have preferred a socket by the bed along with maybe a wee table just to put the phone and a bottle of water on
Nice and friendly staff. Nice bar.
Unfortunately the room was dated. The pool was not opened even though advertised as opened.
